    Confirmed guest, 20/04/2019
Lovely location with splendid views. The Jasmine apartment although clean is tired with only part double glazing (drafty and noisey), bedroom door bottom hinge losing its screws, sliding wardrobe doors poor, furniture dated except beds which were ok, kitchen cupboard door hanging off. Burnt my hand as oven glove supplied did not protect from the hot dish! Kitchen utensils, pots and pans good. Biggest down fall is lack of water pressure for the shower. Very hard to shower when having to bend backwards. The owners and staff are friendly and were very responsive and quick when we advised tv lead was faulty. We were disappointed that whilst the indoor pool air temperature was good the water temp was cool and as the baby toddler pool is fed from the main pool it was cool and our toddler had chattering teeth after a 5 min dip, not acceptable. The walk to the changing rooms from the pool is very cold and there is no heating in the changing room and no suitable baby changing facilities. The restaurant food and service was excellent. The lake is lovely for a stroll around or for fishing. The golf area was poor and needs attention but ok for a laugh. There were only a handful of holiday makers there so pretty quiet. Overall this could be a great holiday destination for couples or families but needs the rest of the tired apartments renovating (some being done whilst we were there), the pool temp increasing so everyone can enjoy it and not have to rush into the hot tub to get warm, and maybe some flowers and hanging baskets to brighten the place up. Nice touch for the dog of a towel to use, ball and a few treats.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking your time to write another review. As you may not be aware we are fairly new Owners at Moorhead and realise there is modernisation needed which we have been and continue to address and will obviously take time as we work in between guests staying here. In the meantime we feel we still offer clean comfortable holidays with good facilities for a quiet country holiday that are priced accordingly. I am sorry you felt the swimming pool was too cold however you did call the night before your booking to ask the temperature of the pool which we told you it was 29 degrees. You continued to book your holiday through an agent. The changing rooms do have a heater that can be turned on should guests feel they are too cold, however on your week stay we had not put it on as the weather was good. In time we will be renovating the changing rooms so they have better changing facilities. You will be pleased to know that we are having new doors fitted on all garden properties next week as part of our ongoing renovations. We are sorry that your oven glove did not protect your hand and we will definitely look into finding better ones now you have brought this to our attention. We are surprised you have mentioned the golf as this is free to play and due to good weather we were lucky to have the pitch and putt up and running, which was being cut just before you played. We are glad you enjoyed our lovely location and lake. Thank you for your kind comment regarding our food in the restaurant, and hope that you will re visit in the future.
