Moor View is a lovely little cottage on the outskirts of Glastonbury located at the foot of the Tor and within easy reach of many local attractions. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and we were greeted on arrival with the most generous welcome pack we have ever received! There were fresh scones, butter, clotted cream and jam, local cheese tomatoes and bread, shortbread, milk and a bottle of wine! There were also ample supplies of tea, coffee, washing-up liquid, toilet rolls and cleaning products, which we were grateful to find. You can walk around the extensive grounds beyond the garden- we saw deer on one occasion. The cottage is clean and well decorated and maintained, with modern furniture and fittings, and the kitchen was well supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. There is a small decked area outside the kitchen-diner which looks out onto a beautiful view southwards where we enjoyed a drink before dinner in the evenings, and ample parking for the car on site. We were pleased to find the TV in the lounge had the BT TV service including i-player which was useful to catch up on programmes if we were out all day. The cottage is located on the A361 which connects Glastonbury with Shepton Mallet and Frome, and the cathedral city of Wells is just 6 miles away where we found the shopping excellent with many independent stores and coffee shops and cafes as well as Tesco and Waitrose. The NT properties of Montacute and Tyntesfield are within easy reach, and we enjoyed several drives to some very picturesque villages including Mells where there is an excellent village shop run by volunteers and the Talbot Inn and the Walled Garden Cafe are recommended for great food and drink. Altogether, a most comfortable stay in a great location. We hope to re-visit.

stayed for a long weekend. well equipped, clean, comfortable rental with good views at the back. liked the enclosed garden for my dog. owners were friendly and helpful. very busy road at the front though did not hear the traffic noise much in the bedroom. apart from Glastonbury tor personally was not that impressed with the town though stayed at rental initially to visit Cheddar (which we did not in the end as the ticket admission was expensive for only wanting to see some of the sights but not the cave because we had our dog with us). visited RSPB Ham Wall though again not impressed with the dog walk compared to our local RSPB - more dog friendly. I would not stay at this rental again only because I do not want to visit this area again and not because of the rental. A couple of points - the kettle needs replacing as leaked when you used it and the bed could be replaced - why do rentals all have terribly cheap beds (no memory foam, etc) when it is one of the main factors for having a good night's sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has become one of our favourite places. I can't fault anything. Clean, beautifully furnished, delicious welcome food and amazing views. Vanessa and Alan are excellent hosts, very friendly but never intrusive. Can't wait for our next visit.

Beautiful accommodation, beautiful views and good weather! We had a very thoughtful welcome hamper including fresh bread, a cream tea and other lovely essentials. We had a lovely relaxing stay with plenty to do around the local area. Glastonbury Tor is walkable as is Glastonbury itself. We visited Wells, Clarks village, Ham Hill Country Park and Brean Down. Our dog, Colin absolutely loved it. One tired doggy! We would love to come back.
