We enjoyed our stay at Monks Barn. There were 6 adults and 4 kids and plenty of room for the kids to run around when it rained and for everyone not to be on top of each other! We felt the place was slightly tired and a bit of de-cobwebbing was needed. There was plenty of plates, cutlery, pans etc in the kitchen and great to have 2 fridges and 2 freezers. Only let down here was having only a single oven and we found cooking for 10 a bit of a challenge. Looks to have a great size bbq which would be good in the warmer months.

Been here twice now and I can honestly say it's fabulous. Friends and family enjoyed it, big barn with wonderful double bedrooms and a fantastic en-suite in one of the rooms. Big kitchen with everything you need for cooking and more and a large dining table. Front garden is very spacious with enough for a few cars and space for the kids to play. Visited the Africa Alive zoo which is 30 mins away which was fantastic, must go.

A gathering of family from Dorset, Ireland and Canada for a family wedding at Langley Abbey so the perfect location and ideal size for us all to share. Beautiful barn, well equipped with lovely sized rooms. Great enclosed private garden with fantastic seating area. A few minutes walk down the track to the River Yare for boat and wildlife watching. Loddon village, which is very pretty, has everything you need, shops, pubs, takeaways, etc. Monks Barn was everything we needed and we enjoyed a glorious sunny weekend, which added to the pleasure of staying there!

Had a great family weekend at Monks Barn. The barn was exactly as described. Ok so it does need a little more cleaning and perhaps a change of 1 or 2 of the mattresses. We still loved it though and will definitely be returning.

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate a family birthday and the barn was perfect for such an occasion. It is in a beautiful and secluded location with enough parking for all 3 of our cars. All rooms were made up, comfortable, cosy and very welcoming. The barn had all the facilities you could need and the dishwasher and washing machine were a godsend with two muddy children to clean up and 9 people to wash up after! We had one issue with the boiler not working which was dealt with swiftly and with no disruption to us whatsoever. I would wholly recommend the Monks Barn, absolutely perfect.

The cottage is in the middle of nowhere (except a paid of semi-detached houses). Lovely courtyard for sitting out and soaking up the sun. Kitchen was big enough for big meals, and everything was provided. and working well. All bedrooms were clean and tidy and comfy. Perfect place for a getogether. You do have to drive if you want to go out, but we dont mind that.

Excellant place to stay as a group or family. Spacious and airy. Rooms are lovely as is the enormous farmhouse kitchen table. Very tired sofas and chairs in the lounge which could do with updating. Also perhaps new cleaners are needed or a check visit before customers arrive by the owners. Some bits from previous occupiers were left which should have been removed and also the "complimentary /welcome" bottle of wine wasn't there. Owners responded immediately to a problem we reported with the hot water and was sorted within an hour. Overall a great weekend had by all. Fab value for money.
