3 generations stayed at mole cottage and we all had a very comfortable stay. The cottage had a downstairs annexe which suited the less mobile guests, with a small shower room next to the downstairs bedroom. I wouldn't say it was wheelchair accessible, due to narrow corridors and small steps into the property but certainly suited our requirements. The cottage was clean but looked a little tired in places. Beds were very comfortable but a little bit squeaky and wobbly. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome pack provided was very nice. We enjoyed a quick dip in the hot tub which came with clear instructions and was clean. Although it says it is dog friendly we didn't feel the dog was completely welcome, as there were rooms we had to shut him out of and he wasn't allowed on the furniture, we did stick to the rules but it wasn't easy as the dog is used to being part of the family and is usually welcomed everywhere at home. Overall we would go back to Mole Cottage as we loved the village, the location and it suited our requirements for a short stay.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Really pleased you had a great time. A very fair review, thank you. We will repaint the downstairs in the autumn. The dog thing is really difficult as non doggy people struggle with doggy smells so I can't really win. Effectively we ask for them to be kept out of the bedrooms, off the leather sofas and kept in the utility room if they are home alone.

The cottage is good but a bit tired the beds and furniture need updating and it needs a deep clean. Great hot tub and location nice owner and good WiFi and tv etc. It needs some tlc to be great. Good location to the Norfolk coastline. Some small changes would make a difference be advised the images online are out of date.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; The beds are pine, which is not fashionable, but they are sturdy and comfortable. The sofas are leather with some marks but once again comfortable. With the environment prevalent in most of our minds should I be throwing away good furniture in the name of fashion and perfection? The images online are accurate apart from the twin settee in the family room that has been replaced by 2 folding armchairs. I will schedule a deep clean for the week commencing the 6th May. I am pleased you enjoyed the area, hot tub, Wi-Fi, TV etc.

A lovely location in a beautiful part of Norfolk. We have been meeting every year for 22 years and found Mole Cottage easily meets all our criteria. The house is perfect for our needs... Lovely hot tub with spacious accommodation and good pub and shop within walking distance. We took the local bus for the first time and explored the area. Fabulous even in February !! Olde world charm with generous comfort. We are booked again for 2020.

Great cottage for a weekend break, we had a girls weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mole Cottage. It’s a great distance from Wells, for a visit to the beach but there is also some bits to do in Stiffkey-we went for a walk along the public bridleway and a stop at the local shop and pub before heading back to the cottage. Mole Cottage is well stocked in the Kitchen, with everything you need - including a welcome pack provided by the owner! There is also a pack of cards and plenty of dvds to choose from, not to mention the hot tub! Definitely a great stay, with plenty of room - we would definitely come back to Mole Cottage!

Good location to the Norfolk coastline. Some small changes would make a difference be advised the images online are out of date.
