Description

Nestled on a beach before the Irish Sea, this idyllic rural holiday cottage offers ideal respite for a family of 4.

This family owned holiday cottage is the perfect getaway. Set in a very quiet environment on the beach you can listen to the sea whilst sipping your favourite tipple.

Moiraville is right on the beach with stunning views out across the Irish Sea - on a clear day you can see the Isle of Man. The coast to coast walk starts in St Bee’s making this the ideal destination for walkers and cyclists.
In the evenings you can sit back and relax after an action-packed day exploring. The sunset is spectacular and you can view this from the conservatory or out on the patio, on a clear night you can see many stars as there is very little if any light pollution making visibility superb.

You’re sure to appreciate this property’s location, as it is close to Muncaster castle and the miniature railway that travels for 7 miles to the village of Boot. The cottage is 20 metres away from a single track railway, which has different trains running on it, including the Flying Scotsman.
Moiraville is ideal for visiting the Lakes and everything Cumbria has to offer. Beach 20 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

The cottage is simply perfect, as is the location. Nearest shops in Egremont but the Coop is well stocked. We were very lucky to arrive as the first week of the heatwave started. The beach and sea are within a few yards of the front door. Garden is perfect for sitting out and the sunsets wonderful. The Lake District, in particular Ennerdale is no more than a 25 minute drive, so the location is great for sea, lakes and hills.

Fantastic cottage, amazing location. Lots nearby to visit but a fantastic base by the coast to come back to. The neighbours and owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage had all we needed!

My husband and I enjoyed 'Heaven on earth' on Coulderton beach, with a restorative, peaceful stay at Moiraville and this welcoming seaside community. The owners, Maggi and Paul, were so friendly and helpful, and have equipped their beautiful bungalow with everything a guest needs. Our highlights were listening to the waves in the garden and while laying in bed at night, and Frank, Debbie and their little dog, Alfie, who live next door, were so lovely we wanted to take them home. Coulderton beach is a short drive to local amenities, with supermarkets in St Bees, Whitehaven and Egramont, a train station in St Bees, and a choice of pubs in surrounding villages. The beach is beautiful, the locals are lovely, and a 40 minute drive takes you to Keswick and the Lake District mountains. We can't fault our stay, it was a dream come true. Thank you Maggi and Paul for a perfect holiday.

One of the best locations we have ever visited, sea front, quiet, relaxing which helped us fully recharge. Moiraville may be small but she's perfectly formed. Comfortable, imaculately clean, well stocked with everything we needed and we felt completely at home. We didn't want to leave and Stanley, our black lab, sulked all the way back in the car. Neighbours and owners extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This is all about the setting. The sun-setting. The local walks. The beach! The train journeys. We walked to St Bees and also back after the pub. We also walked to Nethertown Station and hailed a train! Ennerdale is 20 minutes, Wasdale less than 30. A great place. Very special.

This cottage is fantastic, we had an amazing New Year break. It's really warm and cosy, and the beach is an amazing place with a small but very friendly community. All very dog friendly too. Of course it's a quiet place right on the shore, very peaceful, so if that is what you are after its perfect! And the local town has the amenities you need 10 mins drive away. We had the excitement of a big storm hitting too, but all was fine!

We loved everything about this place, it was exactly what we wanted it to be....peaceful, scenic and cosy. It allowed us to have a week away from the world before the chaos of xmas began. The best bit was sitting in the conservatory watching & listening to the waves and the beautiful sunsets.

chose this to celebrate my 50th birthday at and I couldn't have chosen a better place. so relaxing listening to the sea and watching the amazing sunsets from the property there is everything and more that you could need for a great stay. if you come prepared for single track roads around the area then you won't be shocked. St bees is just up the road with great stretch of beach and shops, pubs Such a peaceful property with sea views will definitely stay again
