In an idyllic location with magnificent rural views, Millburn Cottage is only a few minutes from Brodie Castle.

In an idyllic location with magnificent rural views, this single-storey detached holiday cottage dating back to 1900 was part of the old sawmill of the Darnaway Estate. Sympathetically restored, decorated and furnished to a very good standard with a lovely log fire for those cooler evenings. Set in beautiful countryside and only a few minutes from Brodie Castle, wildlife is abundant and the Nature Reserve at Findhorn Bay, only an hour’s walk, will be of particular interest to ornithologists. Golfers are well catered for with nearby courses at Forres and Nairn, and fishing and horse riding are available locally. It is ideally situated for the ’Whisky & Castle Trails’ and the Speyside Way is within easy reach. The Moray Coastline is renowned for its visiting dolphins, sandy beaches and sheltered bays with Culbin Forest and Sands 2 miles away. Nairn and Elgin are close by and the Highland Capital of Inverness is only a ½ hour drive. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Lovely cottage, spacious , private and well equipped. Gorgeous location. Great garden, lovely views. Total peace and quiet but only 5 mins drive from a main road. So much to see and do in the area especially Roseisle Forest and beach. Very dog friendly cwith woodland walks at the end of the track. Looking forward to visiting again although I doubt we’ll get the same weather. Nearly 2 weeks of sunshine in the highlands!

Lovely cottage with all the home comforts. Because the cottage is so nice the little things became very annoying. For example only 4 forks so we had to use the serving forks as we are a family of 5. Zip and link masterbed is not zip and link mattress and the two mattresses were not even the same (one soft the other firm) meant we had a massive gap in middle of our bed. This could have been very easily fixed with a mattress topper and one big sheet rather than two single sheets. However despite these little niggiling things we enjoyed our stay in the cottage and would recommend to others.

We only went for a long weekend and it was too short to both enjoy the lovely cottage and the area. We will definitely be back again to enjoy both.

Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Was very cold the first evening but once the cottage warmed up it was very cosy for the whole week. Would stay there again.
