Cottage was clean and spacious in a quiet location and the owners gave us a warm welcome. It was a good base to explore Devon and would recommend a stay here.

This was a very nice cottage to stay in, such a warm welcome with homemade cake, fresh flowers and even milk coffee sugar etc. Lovely sized accommodation, perfect for our family of four. I particularly loved the shower!! The owners and their family were very nice but would happily leave you to it if you'd prefer to be on your own, we however enjoyed the fact that our children enjoyed their children's company so win win for us. Lovely garden with a trampoline, swing set and football goal etc but this was cleverly round the back so as to not spoil any views but close enough to keep an eye on the kids. The cottage is slightly out of the way but this is good as the views are stunning and its nice and quiet and this is what cars are for!! Within a fairly shortly driving distance, you have access to everything. we love Devon and we would definitely come back in the future. Fully recomended!!

The family are welcoming and the cake and flowers a nice touch. I feel that a pint of milk would be better than flowers. The property is situated in a valley with limited views. You also need to be comfortable with dogs which we are however this may put some people off. We didn't realise until we were travelling down that heating is extra for us we would prefer an all in price. Otherwise a nice place to stay as a base. Some literature on the local area and amenities would have been beneficial.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review, we’re sorry you felt improvements may be necessary based on your experience. We pride ourselves on our eagerness to provide you with the best holiday possible. We try to ensure our guests are aware that they only need ask for anything at all & we will do our best to sort that out for them. We could have provided a small amount of groceries (milk, bread etc.) on arrival, if this had been arranged with us beforehand, but hasn’t been something we have previously provided as standard. However, new for the coming 2018 season, we will now be providing a welcome pack upon your arrival in the form of tea, coffee, sugar & milk to enjoy alongside our delicious homemade cake. We hope this will be the perfect start to your holiday which you can enjoy while you unpack & settle into your holiday home. The accommodation is situated on a small working farm, therefore there will be sheep, cows etc in fairly close proximity in the surrounding fields. Our lovely friendly dog is used on the farm & is often around the yard. She is always a welcome addition to our guests who love to make a fuss of her, but again, if it is mentioned as being a problem on arrival, we would quickly rectify this. As we are tucked away down in a valley, views are a little limited from the accommodation, but as soon as you travel a little way up the road, there are some beautiful views. Our accommodation is set in a lovely peaceful rural location & the vast majority of our guests love this. There are plenty of activities & adventures to be had in the local area. If it would be helpful to guests in future, we will ensure the leaflets & brochures of local attractions are on display in the cottage - these have previously been located in the living room in a drawer in the side board, but may not have been found by some guests. Thankyou for your suggestion. We are a very friendly approachable family & we are more than happy to do all we can to make your holiday a lovely relaxing one. Your feedback is important to us as we continually strive to improve upon our guests experience to ensure they have the best possible holiday.

We've had a lovely time at Milky Moo's. Our girls enjoyed playing on the swings and trampoline, as well as playing with Gem the dog and collecting the eggs from chickens. Cottage was very comfortable and close enough to Cornwall beaches. We really enjoyed our stay.
