The ancient town of Kidwelly is a 15-minute drive away and is home to one of the finest preserved Norman castles in Wales, along this wonderful coast is Pembrey Country Park, set in 500 acres of woodland where you can learn to dry ski and toboggan, there’s a children’s play area and 8 miles of golden sands at Cefn Sidan beach. Dylan Thomas’ stomping ground and the township of Laugharne are well worth a trip. Here you can visit his writing shed and see his local pub. The famous seaside walled town of Tenby and the Gower Peninsula are a great day out and within an hour’s drive.
