This apartment is the ideal location to enjoy a seaside holiday, with breathtaking views of the coast and with a beach just 200 yards away.

This first floor holiday apartment adjoins the owner’s apartment and is located in the coastal village of Blue Anchor. Well appointed and presented, the apartment is ideal for those looking for a comfortable haven whilst exploring this delightful rural area of Somerset. The apartment benefits from a shared garden with the other apartments on-site and a shared hot tub, with great views over the Bristol Channel and the renowed Somerset Railway. The property is a short walk from the Blue Anchor Beach, and the Blue Anchor station home of the steam railway. Further beaches can be found at Dunster and Porlock and you could even visit Dunster Castle whilst there. There is superb scenery and walking on the South West Coastal Path or inland on Exmoor. Visit the Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (National Trust), Valley of the Rocks and the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway. Enjoy a walk or ice cream on the promenade of Minehead, which also has a good array of shops. The West Somerset Railway is always worth a visit for those with an interest in steam engines. There is also a public swimming pool and sauna which guests can use on the Hoburne Holiday Park (payable locally) situated ¼ mile away. Fishing is also available nearby. Beach 200 yards.     The owner was very friendly. The apartment was really cosy for the 2 of us. Lovely views to where the apartment is located by the coast. I Would recommend this place to anyone. Be looking forward to booking up for next year.

    We had a most enjoyable week. Apartment was clean, warm & comfortable, home from home really. Kitchen well equipped for every need. Lovely views from the lounge windows. I would imagine that in summer months the garden & hot tub would be most enjoyable. We would certainly like to return then. location is good for exploring lots of coastal & country places nearby.

    Another excellent stay at Guinevere, with a welcoming arrival and excellent, friendly and courteous service. We cannot fault these comprehensively appointed apartments, having stayed at another apartment earlier in this year, and look forwards to returning next year. We stayed in the other apartment in March and booked to return and stay at Guinevere while we were there! We wholeheartedly recommend Guinevere to you or any of the adjoining apartments, of which we can find no fault. Only, just don’t book the same week as us next year, before we do!!!

    Great place to stay, well equipped apartment and very clean and comfortable. Being upstairs you get a great view of the sea and the steam railway that comes and goes from the station that's about one minutes walk away. The kitchen is well equipped with a good cooker and pretty much everything that you need. Comfortable lounge and a good tv, cosy bedroom , we had no problems with anything. Minehead is only a 15 minute drive where you have a Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl to do your shopping. We would definitely stop here again if we came back to the area. Well recommended.

    Superb views from balcony & ideal base for exploring surrounding area and only 50 yards away from West Somerset Railway Blue Anchor station. Balcony is next to owners with her 2 dogs. This was never a problem whatsoever.

    After a long journey we at least expected to make a cup of tea only to find there were none not even any sugar so a trip to the supermarket. Lindas flat claims to be dog friendly (not)! but we were not allowed to let our dog in garden without his lead on yet the owner did with her 2 dogs? The cold water had to be run through constantly as it was warm. At one point the tap water went off! We were in the flat upstairs with a balcony we couldnt use as the owner who had two dogs had to pass us on her way out! Not happy at all we were booked in 30/6/18 until 7/7/18 however we were so dissappointed we left on Tues 3/7/18 losing our money!!!!! 0/10 we will not recommend.

I’m sorry you were not happy during your stay in Guinevere apartment but wish you had come and spoken to me about your concerns at the time. I apologise for the fact that the tea and sugar canisters were not topped up, an oversight; I would have willingly refreshed them for you. As I mentioned on your arrival, dogs staying in Guinevere apartment on the first floor are welcome to use the shared bottom garden (the top tier being the private patio areas for the two ground floor apartments) which is where I take my dogs on their leads. I have to consider all guests though and want everyone to feel comfortable in the grounds so I do ask that guest’s dogs are kept on their leads so they do not wander into other apartments or, indeed, through the side gates which can be left open at times and into the road. If there is no one using the bottom garden, yes, I do let mine off once there as they know the boundaries but will pop them back on lead should anyone come down as not everyone is dog confident. I’m sorry I did not make this clear on your arrival. Taking your concerns into consideration I have decided that, as access to the shared bottom garden from Guinevere apartment is not ideal and to save any future issues, I will change my listing and website to show that Guinevere apartment does not accept dogs. The boilers that provide the hot water to all apartments, including mine, are located in a separate boiler room and the hot water does take a little time to come through. It is piping hot however when it arrives, it’s just not as instant as you are perhaps used to at home. You also flagged up concerns over the balcony at the rear of the property which is shared between my apartment and Guinevere. I have divided the balcony in half with a trellis and gate to try and give it a bit of privacy but I do need to walk through Guinevere’s section to get downstairs, I can do nothing about this. I am very aware of guest’s privacy though and try to be as invisible as possible. I never sit out on my section and, when possible, avoid walking through if I see that guests are sitting out on their section. I will be making this clear on my listing and website so guests are aware but there is always the option for guests to take chairs from the summerhouse and sit with their dogs in the bottom shared garden if they wish. I hope the above helps clear up the issues you raised I’m just sorry and upset that you felt unable to come and talk to me while you were here.

    Clean, comfortable apartment with amazing views (esp sunsets). Some nice touches - drinks and biscuits on arrival, books, games and information leaflets. Spacious garden with nooks and crannies to relax in. Linda was friendly and helpful. Beautiful area to explore and amenities reasonably close at hand

    Compact and very clean but with everything you might need. Comfortable bed, lovely view and nice garden to sit in. Landlady very nice and helpful. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits for us on arrival. Would certainly recommend.
