What a great little find. Very clean dog friendly place..the owner obviously cares about his cottage and so does steve, nothing was too much trouble.we are already looking at staying here again. We didnt need to bring anything apart from ourselves, clothes and the poodle!! Nice little touches also left for us. I dont often recommend anything but on this occasion have no option other than to say, book it and you wont be disappointed. Close to the high street, close to the mere, a short walk to the beach and lots of cafes and takeaways within minutes on foot. Steve was ace, everything was perfect and he even got milk in for us on arrival. Friendly neighbour's and a very pleasant experience, enclosed garden was excellent just a shame the weather wasnt great for a couple of days but gave us chance to watch the 4 TVs.... I could go on but what's the point. Looking forward to our speedy return. Thank you steve and thanks to the owner

The house was lovely with everything you need. All the locals were very friendly. Lots of good places to eat and drink. The Hornsea Mere disappointing silly opening hours and you can not walk round ito. Great if you have dogs garden secure and nearly all pubs let dogs in. Will be going again very soon.

We loved the kitchen area and as there were only two of us, we didn't use the dining room - we sat on the stools and ate at the breakfast bar, with the door opened! The sitting room has two of the most uncomfortable sofas in existence, and we couldn't sit on them for long so we watched TV in bed! Such a shame as the rest of the house was good and well equipped. Didn't really like the yale lock on the door as it would be easy to break the glass and get in, so always put the bolt on at night. In a lovely quiet area, with good walking access to the shops - quite a walk to the seafront - but it suited us.

I was working whilst in the Hornsea, it is the best weeks work I have done. The house is lovely, comfortable, easy to holiday or work from. Lovely garden, everything you could need.

We had a really great holiday at Mere View. The cottage was lovely, very clean, comfortable and close to local amenities. There was a secure garden for our dogs, which was excellent and the weather was still warm enough for us to make use of the patio furniture. The Mere was 2 minutes away, the town centre was a 5 minute walk, the park and the beach was less than a 5 minute drive. The drive through the countryside up the coast to Fraisthorpe and Bridlington was lovely. We will definitely be returning to Mere View.

We all had a great time at Mere View - a lovely house with an enclosed back garden which was perfect for the dog! The house was clean and in very good condition - and well equipped for kids with toys and plastic plates, cups etc. My only criticism is that of the three wine glasses in the cupboard, two were cracked and unusable. We coped! We would definitely come again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay with or without kids & dogs.
