We had a really great holiday at Mere View. The cottage was lovely, very clean, comfortable and close to local amenities. There was a secure garden for our dogs, which was excellent and the weather was still warm enough for us to make use of the patio furniture. The Mere was 2 minutes away, the town centre was a 5 minute walk, the park and the beach was less than a 5 minute drive. The drive through the countryside up the coast to Fraisthorpe and Bridlington was lovely. We will definitely be returning to Mere View.

We all had a great time at Mere View - a lovely house with an enclosed back garden which was perfect for the dog! The house was clean and in very good condition - and well equipped for kids with toys and plastic plates, cups etc. My only criticism is that of the three wine glasses in the cupboard, two were cracked and unusable. We coped! We would definitely come again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient place to stay with or without kids & dogs.

We had a great week here! The kids, dogs and adults were all happy! Hornsea is a lovely place, and the house is a very, very short walk from the town and the beautiful mere. A great little park for the kids literally around the corner from the house too! The beach is a ten minute walk and is nice, with large dog-friendly areas. The property manager is wonderful and does everything to make your stay comfortable. Many thanks. Would like to return!

The property was very nice, size of the rooms etc. However, the kitchen units need a good clean, in that the doors felt sticky. Also, quite a few cobwebs upstairs which had clearly been there for some time. The front and rear garden had loads of weeds, and was generally not well kept, which was a shame as it gave the property a negative appearance. These comments are given in a positive way, because a few improvements would be well received by other occupants, I am sure.

We loved this property. Everything we needed was supplied. Very comfortable and my son loved the excellent WIFI. A very large enclosed garden for my 2 dogs. Excellent base to explore Yorkshire. Our main reason for our visit was to go to Bempton cliffs as we are all photographers and bird watchers. Which only took about 40 minutes. Would definitely like to stay again one day.

Apart from being left an OPENNED milk as a welcome everything was ok, we had to do without Milk on the 1st evening

Surprisingly spacious house, immaculately clean and well equipped. Within walking distance of the Mere and local high street with good choice of pubs and places to eat.
