Lovely large barn very light and airy. Lovely layout and well equipped. Nice outside space to sit. Wonderfully comfy bed. So very peaceful except for the noise in the main bedroom from the boiler.

First class cottage which is equipped with every thing you need for your stay. Only slight complaint is lane leading to barns as when it rains lane floods and we ended up in 6 inches of water which you had to paddle through to gain access to accommodation so very wet shoes for all!

I have given the owner a week to respond to our complaint before posting this review as I believe in giving people the opportunity. The barn itself is lovely with good appliances and comfortable bedding. However, there is no telephone signal which is fine if the advertised wifi was available. We arrived and went to Tesco and called as the router was not working. We called the cleaning company who promptly called back to advise that there was a lightning strike and the router would be replaced during the week. The router was not replaced when we left after 7 days. I specifically selected accommodation which had wifi. Then we also had no hot water fom the Fri to the Monday. This is a working farm and to get a text advising that we were to top up the central heating boiler is really unacceptable. Due to signalling issues I didn't get this until the Monday. There was also an issue with the oil. My in laws are in their 70s and thus did put a dampener on our holiday as they had to take freezing cold showers. we were put back to the owner for which we have received no response nor any return in our money. I could easily have selected 10 other properties which had wifi and also I would hope hot running water.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I replied to this complaint on receipt, but unfortunately the holiday letting company didn’t forward my reply to the guest. No Wi-Fi - This was an act of god as the barn had been struck by lightning the previous week and I had sent my apologies via the cleaning company that there would be no Wi-Fi that week. I was able to buy a new modem and fix it when the barn was next available after these guests had vacated the property. No hot water - I sent a text to the guest when I received their voicemail to let them know that the boiler had either lost pressure as all boilers do on an infrequent basis or had run out of oil. I informed the guest where the simple instructions were for re-pressurising the boiler. I never heard back from them. I then had a call from the cleaning company saying the guest had complained to them as well but we didn’t know whether they had tried re-pressurising the boiler. We assumed they had so the cleaning company drove to Norwich to buy an emergency supply of oil just in case I had run out of oil. The cleaning company then informed me the oil tank was half full and the boiler just needed topping up with water. Many other guests have successfully topped up the water pressure in the boiler using diagrammatic instructions, it takes 2 minutes. I can only apologise again but did everything possible to assist this guest.
