Pros: lovely views, comfortable beds Cons: needs TLC. Were not told of Road closure for rest of holiday on third day... meant parking elsewhere and noise from work being carried out every day from that date

Very comfortable clean warm cottage that is well-equipped and has good views. It could do with a little 'TLC' in small areas but it is nice. We didn't find a local food shop, but local pubs are very good for food, if a little costly, but do require pre-booking unless really out-of-season. Only car-parking is a little tricky as the cottage has none, except right outside on-street and narrow-ish. We enjoyed our stay

Lovely and reasonably priced cottage, ideal for exploring the northern parts of the Lake District. Easy to get to Keswick by car, on foot or by bike and plenty of walks from the front door. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, good shower. Good parking. Walkable pubs in the village - but you might find some better ones further afield! Overall would stay here again for sure. The views are amazing! Some of the cottage information was a bit out of date and the check out time was stated differently in about 5 separate places (it's 9am - I think!), but otherwise the description/pictures etc are accurate.
