May Cottage is a deceptively spacious, 200-year-old terraced holiday cottage in the Cornish village of Tywardreath. The coasts and coastal paths are close by, with a beach at Par Sands and smaller more varied beaches within driving distance. Nearby attractions include the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lanhydrock House. Charlestown, famous for its tall ships and shipwreck museum, is a few miles away, a perfect setting for an evening stroll around the harbour. Golf, cycling, sailing and sea fishing available locally. Beach ½ mile. Shop 30 yards, pub 50 yards.

Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, beams, tiled floor and patio doors leading to garden.

    We have visited Cornwall many times but never stayed in this area which is why we chose St Austall as a base .Not the most picturesque but close to the main roads to tour the whole of the area. The cottage is in a residential part of St Austall in a terrace of similar properties.We had difficulty finding it at first as the picture of it online is taken from the rear garden which makes it look as though it has a grassed garden at the front whereas it opens straight onto a narrow pavement.It is very deceptive as the frontage is quite small but inside it has a large kitchen diner and three large bedrooms.the bathroom is modern and very spacious with an impressive shower .In fact the whole cottage has recently been modernised to a high standard .The quality of the soft furnishines ,electrical fixtures and decor is very impressive.If I had to be critical it would be of the small lounge at the front,but the huge kitchen diner was where we spent most of our time.we were told there would be parking for two cars at the front ,but most days we found it difficult to find a space for our one,but the neighbours are very good and we always found a space somewhere in the road. The garden is large and well appointed for bbqs, seating and views over the hills at the back. Its not like having your own detached cottage but was a great place to come back to at the end of the day. There is a great pub with an impressive menu and village store two minutes away. If you left the garden door open you will be visited by a very friendly local cat looking for a drink of water. Would definatly return again.

    May cottage was really homey and had everything you could need. The back garden is looking very and in good weather would be a lovely place to hang out. The pub down the street is great, really friendly people and excellent food.
