Located in a secluded country estate of more than 500 acres, the house is an ideal base to explore some of England’s most ancient unspoilt woodland: there are deer on the doorstep, and just a few minutes walk will take you to glades of oak and beech, carpeted with a spectacular show of bluebells in April and May, where the only sound is birdsong. The house has two cosy reception rooms, a television with all the Sky main channels (including Sport); while for those who prefer to tinkle away or join in a sing-song there is also an upright piano. The kitchen provides a bright open space perfect for family meals or celebrations, and leads on to a pretty conservatory where the breathtaking country views can even be enjoyed in the rain.
