The apartment was very well presented and comfortable with easy instruction to get there. As two out of three of us are disabled the bus stop across the road was very convenient for getting about. Recommended for a lovely break away.

Again another great stay here. 10 mins walk from the train station and a leisurely 20 mins walk along the river, into the Centre. This flat is superb, very spacious and has everything you need for your time away. Will definitely stay again and have recommended to friends.

We had great contact and communication with the owner, not that it was required. A nice chat before we arrived. The apartment was large and really was a home from home. Just a 10 minute walk into the city. Located just a few minutes from the train museum and on York minster side. Really pleasent stay, would recommend whole heartedly. Excellent!

Nice apartment, good facilities and clean but wouldn’t recommend for toddlers. Location ok but no shops or pubs in walking distance

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We were surprised at this comment, the flat is ground floor with cot, high chair, and a large sitting room to accommodate the liveliest toddler. Our extensive information pack gives precise instructions to parks and play facilities suitable for children of all ages. Our information pack also gives details of our local pub and convenience store within 6 minutes walk of the flat. It includes directions to the centre of York with its amazing pubs, restaurants and shops all within 10 minutes walk. Had we been made aware that the guests needed help with finding their way round the area we would have been more than happy to advise.

Lovely week in a very comfortable flat. Beautiful weather. Plenty of places to visit in and around York. As my husband uses a blue badge it was great to have free parking in York though we got lost trying to find car parks, so many one way streets.

Perfect location, nice and clean. Only comment would be the small TV in the living room as we had a couple of wet days!

We were there for 4 nights. Had booked 2 trips on steam trains from York station. Very convenient for walk to station. Apartment had everything we wanted. Was an easy walk to York centre.

Very good choice of accommodation. Had a great stay. Weather was kind. Did over 10,000 steps every day walking to and from city centre. Would recommend this apartment.

Flat was nice. We forgot some coats in the flat, and have been rudely called by the owner - she told us to come and get things working next hour or she’ll bin them, as there is no way she can keep those. Had to drive 100 miles to collect as fast as possible. She was unreasonable and unhelpful

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are naturally very disappointed to have received this poor review. Any small items forgotten by guests are returned if at all possible. The guests had left coats as well as a holdall containing children’s clothes and as we live a considerable distance from Martins Court, we were unable to store the items and neither could our cleaner. Martins Court does not have storage for large luggage items, as can clearly be seen in the photos, and with other guests arriving, I sadly had no other option but to ask the guests to collect their belongings. We trust future guests will rely on our other feedback for a more balanced review of our property.
