Markham House is wonderful holiday home and has recently undergone a tasteful refurbishment and now offers lovely accommodation that is perfectly situated to explore this delightful part of Dorset, situated just over a mile from Weymouth golden sandy beaches and its pretty harbour; dotted with pubs restaurants and independent shops. Weymouth is the perfect holiday destination year-round and is great for a long weekend break or to make the most of the surrounding are it is also ideal for a longer stay.
The accommodation is perfect for families with three bedrooms, two bathrooms along with a fantastic open plan kitchen diner, the ideal space to cook, dine and catch up with friends or family, for warmer days the patio doors open to a south facing garden that offers enough space for kids to run around and burn off some energy or simply a place to relax with a drink and a good book after a day’s exploring.
This is an excellent location to enjoy Weymouth’s beach, harbour, shops, and many family attractions. There is world famous sailing on offer with the National Sailing Academy which was home to the 2012 sailing Olympics. Fishing, swimming, and boating are available locally, as well as coastal walking along Chesil Beach and Portland which are all part of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The property is also within easy driving distance of Dorchester, Bridport, and Abbotsbury, with its swannery and tropical gardens. With so many places to discover on locally, you may not venture far, however a little further afield, you will find plenty of places to explore from the wonders of the New Forest national park to a fun filled day at Paultons Park.
