Bexhill has a number of attractions and gives easy access to Eastbourne and Hastings. Just 530 yards from the beach and Bexhill’s leisure centre, with indoor swimming pool, wave machine and ’beach area’. Stroll along the seafront to the famous De La Warr Pavilion. Explore Battle and see the very spot where King Harold fell in 1066. Egerton Park offers picnic areas, boating lake and tennis. Golf courses at Highwoods, 3 miles, and Cooden Beach, 4 miles. A shopping centre beckons, just 10 minutes away, with major high street chains. Shops, pub and restaurant 1/2 mile.

    Very peaceful location Only difficulty really was having to put out a very rubbish bin down the steep slope of the garden to the roadside

    Response on behalf of the owner; We have welcomed you to Mariners Corner on at least 5 previous occasions and twice this year. Your previous kind comments and scores of 10 are still on this website ! So we are saddened that you have decided that the location of the cottage, the local amenities and comfort and equipment did not please you and provide value for money on this occasion. Cleanliness is our top priority and over the years we have built up a very loyal cleaning team who work hard every week to ensure that everything is absolutely at its best for the arrival of our guests, with crisp linen on the beds, heating on and a cream tea on the table. Unfortunately our quarter of an acre garden is on a slight slope, but at least it is downhill to the gates, when the bins need emptying. As we advise all our guests, the council only collect the bins every other week, so it is not always possible for us to ensure that your bin will be completely empty on your arrival. We are very sorry we disappointed you.

    Excellent cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Home from home with little extra touches. Hillside location may be a problem for those not able to walk far. Supermarketm closeby was a great help. Local bus company was freiendly and offered frequent service. Free all day parking on seafront in Bexhill was a welcome and great surprise. Would surely recommend this cottage.
