My wife, daughter (5 yrs) and I had a lovely time at Marbles. The cottage is perfect for a break and is located in a beautiful (and very unique!) location. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location and great accommodation. Stairs twisty so needed to concentrate when using them but well worth it . Fantastic break.

Marbles is in part of the stable block of the Rousdon Estate, which was built by the Peek family in the late 19th Century. The whole complex has the most amazing architecture, from the main house to the farm buildings; truly the home of a multi-millionaire. Set in beautiful parklands, it has its own steep path down to the beach. There is a village shop opposite the estate entrance and Seaton is just a few minutes drive away, with a Tesco and other shops and the lovely little electric tram running up the River Axe estuary. Rousdon is centrally placed for visiting all the delights of South Devon and Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The flat itself is a beautiful conversion with a spiral stair from the living area up to the two bedrooms (with very comfortable beds) and bathroom. It is spotlessly clean and everything you might need for cooking is provided. There are books, maps and childrens' games as well as a TV with a collection of DVDs. Mobile phone reception requires a walk of 50 feet or so into the car park area. Google it to see just how special it is.
