Beautiful light and airy family accommodation in the heart of Stratford just a 3 minute walk from Shakespeare’s birthplace.

Situated right at the heart of Shakespeare’s Stratford, this spacious and comfortable family house, built in 1930’s, offers guests the perfect holiday location to discover all the amenities of this historic market town without the need to drive. Literally a 3-minute walk from Shakespeare’s birthplace, which can be seen from the entrance to the driveway, guests can also take the scenic canal path into the town. On reaching the property visitors will be struck by the splendour of the maple tree growing in the front garden, which gives the property its name, and the virginia creeper on the front of the house. Maple Tree House has a driveway to the front with parking for several cars. It has a private, enclosed back garden with an extensive tiered decked area and pergola, providing the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or brunch in a south-facing garden which captures the sun all day. There are a table, chairs and bench seating on the decking and around the garden. The deck can be approached through French doors from both the large garden room and library and looks onto a lawned area with established flower beds and borders, trees, kitchen herbs and rhubarb. Stratford has an abundance of varied pubs and restaurants, bistros and shops, with regular street markets, all within easy walking distance, as is the theatre. Further afield, within easy reach, are Kenilworth and Warwick with their ancient castles, Leamington Spa’s regency architecture, Birmingham and the NEC. The Cotswold Hills begin 15 minutes’ drive away, with Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh both very accessible. Golf is available nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

    Mapletree House is ideally situated in a quiet location close to Stratford town centre which just over 5 minutes walk. The house is well equipped and provides a good standard of accommodation

    This the 5th time we've stayed in Mapletree House. Annabel had everything ready for us as usual and we were able to settle in quickly. The only thing lacking is air conditioning which would have been perfect during one of the hottest weeks of the year! However there are enough rooms to be able to find a reasonably cool space to relax. Proximity to shops, theatre and other amenities is wonderful - no parking problems! The street is quiet and easily accessed. Looking forward to coming back next summer.

    Lovely house in a very convenient location. We stayed during a heatwave and found the orangery too hot to sit in until the sun went down (no blinds) but luckily there were other rooms that were cooler. We purchased a fan for our own comfort and also a hairdryer as there didn't appear to be one at the property. Town centre and shops all within comfortable walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

    We had a lovely week at Mapletree, the house worked well for a three generational family and my father especially enjoyed the library for reading his paper. The WiFi has been improved and I had no complaints from 2 teenagers. The location is fantastic and the house has a lovely garden. Only downside if there is one is that the en-suite is a bit on the small side and would not be suitable for anyone of larger than average size.

    We loved the cottage, especially the fireplace in the living room, which we used every night. Everything was perfect.

    A very pleasant and spacious house, comfortable and well located for all the attractions and shopping that the town offers. Within easy walking distance of the main attractions. The garden is well kept and a pleasant place to pass a few hours in the sun, The only drawback is the Wifi internet connection which at best is inadequate, slow and unreliable, often it is unavailable. Downloads of any sort are not possible, only usable for basic email.

    Such a lovely house and so convenient for the town centre and all its attractions. Annabel does a very good job for the owner and also runs the local deli ten minutes walk away.

    Mapletree House was the perfect home from home vacation accommodation for us. We were a 3 generation party and the house is perfect - plenty of space to spread out, enjoy meals together etc. The off street parking was great too. Looking forward to a return visit in the future.
