Although the lodge was very nice and comfortable there were absolutely no facilities not even a shop. The nearest shop was in the village 3 miles away and the supermarket about 12 miles. We did feel rather isolated

Nice relaxing lodge for a short break, however it could do with some maintenance, especially outside. The woodwork is looking tired and in need of repair, also the grass/shrubs outside the lodge are neglected compared to other lodges. Inside the sofas are a little tatty.

As a family of six & a dog ! We loved our stay here, quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. Plenty of space, warm and cosy. We would deffinately like to revisit in the future. We arrived in the pitch dark making it difficult to find the right lodge as number order & placing was not obvious.

Had great holiday. Was bit worried re previous reviews but seems they have new person over seeing the cleaning etc and it was better than I thought. Outside could do with bit of tlc. Was rubbish thrown in garden and trees cut and just thrown outside lodge. Views were one of best on site. Great location

A lovely chalet in a very quiet location slightly off the beaten track but within driving distance of the coast which we really liked but other may find too quiet. It has a lovely view over to the lake and a small nature reserve with barn owls and jays. The accommodation is very comfortable for a family of four and was clean and tidy on arrival. We enjoyed a last minute summer break here and would certainly return again.

Lovely lake side location, but no amenities within walking distance. On arrival, we could smell damp, and found all the bedding, towels and curtains had not been thouroghly dried and smelled sour. We aired the cabin, in an attempt to clear the smells. Several of the lights were not working or had bulbs missing which was a little frustrating. The hoover just pushed the dirt around, very little suction and we found it full on arrival. The site map or welcome pack was poor. There could have been a shop or launderette close by we would never have known. Despite all this we had a lovely stay, and would recommend the lodge for a peaceful holiday, but take your shopping with you.

The only thing that let the holiday down, was there is no direct access to the fishing lake.
