We had a delightful family holiday in this lovely cottage which is comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. The pool was a bonus and provided a relaxing time on warm days. The games room with pool table, table tennis table and dart board was also well used by our family. The owners were friendly, welcoming and helpful. In fact, my daughter commented that, ‘they had thought of everything’ to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The cottage is located in a peaceful, rural location yet within driving distance of Loches, Tours and the châteaux of the Loire Valley. We would recommend this property to friends and family.

We were two mature couples holidaying together. For us the property was ideal as it has ample room and very good facilities. We were upstairs adjacent to the bathroom and the owner had made up the two double bedrooms so we had a choice. Our friends chose the downstairs bedroom with en suite shower room. The modern kitchen and extensive equipment was a treat as two of us enjoy cooking. All the appliances worked well. The heated plunge pool was excellent and was in use twice a day. The games room was well equipped with table tennis, pool table, darts and sets of boules. The owners are lovely and left a home-made cake and bottle of fizz to kick off the week. It is a quiet location and would be ideal for families looking for that type of holiday. The bikes were in need of a bit of care and attention, and we did have a problem with the water on the first couple of days, but the owner arrived promptly to look into this, and it turned out to be a local problem with the water supply rather than an issue at the property. The nearly pretty and historic town of Loches has plenty to see, excellent shops, supermarket and a twice weekly market.

When booking the holiday I was a little put off by the lack of reviews on here. But I have to say when we arrived I was pleasently surprised and we were greeted kindly by the family, who were absolutely lovely and had good English! They showed us around the cottage and wow it was just beautiful! A fantastic, modern cottage in the middle of fields. So tranquil! We took our dog too and they were very accepting and the dog had a fantastic holiday! The swimming pool was an excellent addition as well as the games room with table tennis, a pool table and dart board! Very well set up for families they even had a TV that they set up with all British channels! The cottage it self you couldn't fault! It had everything! If you needed something it was bound to be there. The local village is a few miles away, which we occasionally cycled too to pick up a baguette and crossiants from the local bakery and the town was around a 10minute car journey where you could find lots of supermarkets, a few shops and lots of bars and restaurants but all in a very nice peaceful town. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesistate to go back! I hope this review encourages more of you to go and try it out :)
