In the beautiful hills of Monferrato, in Altavilla, along the wine route of Monferrato, is this charming villa with air conditioning, private outdoor swimming pool and french doors on the first floor leading to a balcony area with sauna. The villa, built in the 19th century, once belonged to a nobleman and inherited by his servant. The structure of the house is typical of the region, built of tufa and exposed brick arches. The house is surrounded by vineyards, where you can taste good wine and dine on dishes with white truffles. This location has the highest number of castles in Northern Europe with easy access to the area of Langhe Roero with its many white truffle and wine fairs. Another attraction in the area is Moncalvo, Italy’s smallest town, with its truffle fair in autumn and other interesting events in the summer. Casale Monferrato is an ideal place for art lovers where you will find several monuments, including an important synagogue, the cathedral of Sant ’Evasio and an art museum with paintings by Pietro Francesco Guala. For the sports enthusiast, have a go at horse riding, mountain biking and parachuting or take flying lessons at the airport in San Germano. Within one hour’s drive you can reach several interesting cities; Genoa, 109km, The sea of Arenzano, 99km, Turin, rich in monuments and art, 81km, Serravalle Scrivia, 67km, Arona (Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta), 105km and Milano, 115km.
