Situated in 8 acres of beautiful countryside with woodland walks and plenty of wildlife, these disabled friendly, detached holiday properties (refs 31030, 31031 and 31032) are wonderfully situated for bird watching, walking or touring mid Wales. They are located in a great area for exploring Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales Borders. All three cottages are wheelchair friendly. There are bed-guards and bed-blocks available for some of the beds, a wheeled shower chair/commode with removable arms, a free-standing toilet frame and chair-blocks available for guests use, as well as a hoist (at cost). There is a children’s play area, a games room and a basketball ring in the grounds. Try our scaled solar system walk up a mountain to Pluto, or the woodland walk which skirts a pond, crosses bridges and makes its way around an acre of mixed woodland, with bluebells, primroses, wild roses, broom and gorse. Local places of interest include the National Trust Properties, Powys Castle and Gardens, Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park, as well as the Welshpool to Llanfair Steam railway, the Montgomeryshire Canal Lake, Vyrnwy and Lake Bala, Glasevern Hall and Gardens, Dingle Nurseries and Gregynog Hall. For those wishing to partake in activities, there is plenty of excellent walks, cycling, quad trekking, clay pigeon shooting, paintballing, go-karting and watersports available nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
