A lovely setting and convenient for amenities. The beds were very comfortable but the settees and dining chairs could do with a few loose cushions. Outside furniture was lovely. As pet owners it was disappointing not to have an outside space for the dog to run about loose. The hot tub was fabulous and we would definitely return.

The cabin itself is immaculate, spacious and very homely. The only thing stopping us giving all 10’s is the fact the only way to maintain temperature control in the cabin is by opening windows. There is no way to turn the heating off. If it’s raining, this is a bit of an issue. The hot tub was also very spacious, but again what let’s it down is temperature control, or lack of. It is fixed at a temperature which isn’t shown, but no way of increasing. After 20 minutes it is almost cold if a breeze is blowing. There is also an issue where the chemicals are done twice a day, once around 11am and again at 4pm. The latter one we found awkward, as there is a half hour to an hour wait before we could get back in. We planned a meal on our last night, then some time in the tub. As the chem check was a bit late we ended up not going in until later as we had to time it with eating our meal. I’ve never stayed in one where chemicals are done in the afternoon, or even twice a day. That let it down for us along with the two issues about temperature. Despite this, we would return and we do recommend the place. It is immaculate from top to bottom, very well stocked with kitchen equipment and the beds are extremely comfortable. I think even if just the afternoon chemical check was scrapped we would go to a ten out of ten.
