Lovely cottage. Ideal location for peace and quiet of the machars. Cottage very clean and neat., except for the windows. Lovely secure garden and drive. Very bare kitchen. Not even a teabag, a grain of sugar etc. No washing up liquid. No basics at all. Thankfully there is a local shop! Double bedroom very attractive. Triple single bed room poor. Beds comfy. Bedroom furniture disgraceful. Living room comfy and bright but threadbare carpet. This is an ideal cottage if you are looking for a no frills break. Definitely not great value for money but we did have a relaxing break all the same.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and the house was nice and large with plenty of room. There was also an enclosed garden for the dog. There were a few problems with the boiler for the heating needing to be constantly reset to turn it on and the Internet coverage which was only accessible on one side of one bedroom. The lower oven also didn't seem to work and the sliding back door was very stiff to operate.

Spacious bungalow however was quite basic and needs some TLC and updating. There was mould around window frames and gap in the window showing daylight in the double bedroom; grouting around bath needs attention as when running a bath the bath comes away from the wall. Totally agree with another customers comments as the cottage was cold particularly at night.

This was my second stay at Linwood, we enjoyed our stay very much. The Bungalow has everything you could possibly need is very clean and the owners very welcoming. We have really enjoyed visiting different places throughout Scotland from this base and would highly recommend to others. I have booked to go again next year can't wait?????
