Surrounded by magnificent mountain ranges and spectacular scenery, this semi-detached, single-storey holiday home features views towards Loch Leven and is ideally situated for exploring Argyll and the Highlands. Visit the Inner Isles by ferry, or take the steam train from Fort William to Mallaig. Watch the abundant wildlife or ride up the mountain by gondola. The area has many activities to offer, including climbing, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, kayaking and golf. There are plenty of gentle forest walks, castles and gardens to explore. Fort William, the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’, and Oban, known as the ’Gateway to the Isles’, are easily accessible, as are the Isle of Skye and Loch Ness. Shop, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

Kitchen/dining room: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bedroom 1: With double bed, single bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.

Oil central heating (£25 per week October-March), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Sitting-out area with garden furniture. Lawned garden (shared). Bike store. Private parking. Please note: There is a pond in the garden, 25 yards away.

    This should not be advertised as a cottage. It is a B&B. Not suited for a family stay of a week. The cottage is in need of renovation: oven and microwave were broken; windows in several rooms not properly closing/opening because locks were broken; shower in 1 room flooding; shower door in another room broken; no possibility to sit outside in the garden; self-closing doors in each room very inconvenient/dangerous, especially with children; kitchen door could not be left open since fire alarm went off when cooking; too big a table in the kitchen. We were a group of 9 and when everybody was in the kitchen for breakfast or diner you couldn't move in the kitchen; no table in the living room to use;... As said, this is a B&B perfect to stay in for a night when travelling around, not suited to stay in for longer. The description is not matching the reality.

The self catering accommodation is a semi detached holiday home which is separate from the main house with 4 en suite bedrooms, a large lounge and fully fitted Kitchen. Over the years several large families have loved their holidays in the cottage and commented very favourably. We uphold high standards and check everything is in working order at the end of each guest visit for new guests arriving. Any issues you reported to me were on the Thursday morning which demonstrates everything was in working order when you arrived on the Saturday prior. These issues were addressed immediately and I am disappointed you did not recognise this in your review.
