Polkanuggo Farm sits in a beautiful rural location just outside the village of Stithians with a local shop and pub. The cottage is ideal for families or perfect for couples all year round. This working farm is mid-way between the South Cornwall Coast, home to the busy harbour, prestigious marinas, sailing creeks and sandy beaches of Falmouth, and the rugged, wide, surfing beaches of the North Cornwall Coast and the cathedral city of Truro.
Lylyen sits in a small terrace of three converted barns. Set in 18 acres of natural grounds, this delightful stone barn has been built to a good standard and is surrounded by farmland. This is a peaceful location, ideal for exploring the creeks, coves and tranquil waters of the south coast, and equally convenient for the rugged north coast - perfect for surfing or walking the coastal path. The area is renowned for its mining history and has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status.
Polkanuggo Farm is within easy reach of Falmouth, with its busy port, harbours, marinas, beautiful beaches, coves, shops and art galleries. Falmouth is also home to the National Maritime Museum. Located in Events Square, there are festivals, music and food events throughout the year. Take a coastal safari to see ship wrecks, dolphins, basking sharks and seals, or hop on a ferry to nearby St Mawes, Flushing or a scenic boat trip down the picturesque Helford River and creeks. Visit Stithians Lake where you can try your skills at watersports including canoeing, wind surfing and sailing. There are also wonderful walks and nature trails, and a lakeside café to rest in after.
Pendennis Castle, Falmouth built by Henry VIII stands proud on the headland and is open daily to visitors hosting many historic events, or visit the sub-tropical gardens of Trebah, Trelissick and Glendurgan. Take a short drive to the cathedral city of Truro with great shops, restaurants, museum, cinema and theatre. The pretty harbour and town of St Ives with its beautiful beaches and famous Tate Modern art gallery is a 30-minute drive. Beach 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
