This Grade II listed manor house is in rural location. Hay-on-Wye and Hereford nearby.

In an unspoilt rural position set in 10 acres of grounds

Dating from 1674, Luntley Court (ref 13708) is a fine example of a Grade II listed half-timbered manor house. The interior has beams throughout, flagstone floor, oak panelling, 17th-century oak staircases and a galleried dining area. Set within the grounds, The Granary (ref W44172) and Gable End (ref W44173) have been renovated from some outbuildings to offer two very comfortable properties. The properties enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Herefordshire countryside, and the 10 acres of grounds, which are shared between the properties are bordered by a stream, a dovecote dated 1673, and a lake. Each property also has its own dedicated garden area.
This is a superb location for discovering the Welsh Marches; Hay-on-Wye, renowned for its books and known as the book capital of the world; Ludlow, popular for its food festivals, and the cathedral city of Hereford, which are all within 16 miles. There is something for everyone, including wonderful walking and cycling areas, as well as lots of historic places of interest such as castles and National Trust houses. Enjoy the Black and White Village Trail, which includes more than just pretty places to visit, since each village has its own character and community, with tea rooms, shops, craft workshops and pubs waiting to welcome the visitor. 10 of us (2 males and 8 females between the ages of 28 to 60) had a fabulous weekend at Luntley C ourt. The building is stunning and holds much history. The bedrooms were amazingly spacious and comfortable; the bathrooms large and fitting to the age of the property with enough hot water for all; the kitchen, utility room and dinning area with its overhanging balcony was fun and contained all the equipment that we needed; the sitting rooms comfortable and practical. The weather was great for us so we were able to make full use of the outside grounds. It seemed pricey that we had to pay a 300 pound deposit (same for a week or shorter)incase the property was left in a bad state and was expected to hoover the sitting room, sweep kitchen floors and leave toilets clean which i'm sure was from past experiences of large groups leaving the house in a state.

The house was lovely and capacious. Also the garden. There were a few technical problems but they were swiftly dealt with. The area very nice and enough to do with lovely walks etc.

Fantastic quirky property with loads of room for a big group. Very helpful local caretaker. It had everything we needed for a great hen weekend in the country.
