Should you want more energetic pursuits, then golf, tennis, sailing, riding are available locally. They are within easy reach of the historic cities such as Bath with its Roman baths and Royal Crescent, Wells with cathedral and Bishops’ Palace and Bristol with a fascinating history. The picturesque town of Cheddar, famous for its amazing gorge and caves, Glastonbury and its abbey ruins and Tor, and Axbridge are all worth a visit. Beach 4½ miles.
