Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Lower Trembath is perfect for family gatherings, special occasions or those looking for a relaxing and tranquil setting.

This delightful, detached, period Cornish farmhouse has been renovated and retains many of its original features. There is a spacious open plan farmhouse kitchen complete with Rayburn and state of the art electric induction range cooker which features a 5-zone induction hob, three ovens with integrated grill, fan and conventional oven and a programmable main oven. There is a huge dining table and comfy snug sitting area with wood burner. This comfortable accommodation, with the owners living nearby, is ideal for larger families and friends. The farmhouse is accessed via a long private rough drive, flanked by Cornish hedging, which leads to a wide gravelled area with ample parking. There are two garden areas and a small patio outside the front door and there is a stable block and barns opposite. A path runs down the drive and through the yard in front of the stable yard. Lower Trembath is set on the edge of a wooded valley and the area attracts visitors all year round, whether you are looking for a wonderful family summer holiday, or rugged winter walks and storm watching.
Sea fishing trips are available from the working fishing harbour of Newlyn, which is less than 2 miles away. Penzance is nearby, with its wide promenade, three major supermarkets, outdoor lido, harbour and busy town centre, and offers a great selection of quality dining options, including small bistros, restaurants, tea rooms and excellent pub food. It is a short drive to the picturesque village of Mousehole with its pretty harbour, small sandy beach and winding streets. Discover art galleries, curiosity and craft shops, excellent harbourside restaurants, great pubs and tea rooms. The area is perfect for exploring west Cornwall and within easy reach of the ancient town of Marazion where you can see St Michael’s Mount, perched on its rocky outcrop. Lands End, Sennen and the famous Minack Theatre are all just a short drive away. The National Trust has places of interest in the area, including Lizard Point, Levant Mine and Beam Engine, and Trengwainton Garden. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We had a wonderful holiday and loved the house and gardens and such a fab location - felt quiet and secluded with beautiful views and walks yet right by the main road to all key destinations. We had everything we needed and the house was spotless. There were 10 of us - 7 adults and 3 children and we had some great fun with garden games and BBQs on the patio. A couple of queries were answered really quickly by the owners and we left a toy which was posted back to us with no hesitation. Thanks for such a great time, I would highly recommend.

Great cottage for a large group with plenty of space inside, it was still a little cold to get full use of the garden but in warmer weather it would be a fantastic place to sit out and enjoy the views. The cottage itself feels very private and remote however there are far more great places to visit within a very short distance than could be seen in a week.

We had a lovely holiday. With three generations all fitting in comfortably. The weather wasn't brilliant but you don't expect wall to wall sunshine in February. The children loved stomping in muddy puddles. The house is lovely we have stayed before and will certainly stay again. Our only request for this time of year would be some extra heating in ground floor on suite.
