Description

Enjoy a relaxing holiday at this rural property, or venture out and explore both the south and north Cornwall coasts.

Tucked away in a little known and quite idyllic location in Cornwall, just a few miles from the town of Callington nestling in the valley below Bodmin Moor, is the village of Linkinhorne. A little rural piece of paradise hidden off the tourist routes. The village of Linkinhorne has a lovely pub less than 1 mile from these three cottages. Primrose (ref 30212) and Snowdrop (ref 30213) have been superbly converted from old stone barns and stand in the grounds of the owner’s 16th-century home yet both have a degree of privacy, each with a fully enclosed patio garden and a larger shared lawned picnic area and garden set alongside a babbling brook. Snowdrop has been specifically designed to cater for those who use wheelchairs and is awaiting Grade 3 accreditation by the NAS. Daffodill (ref UKC1333) is a fabulous, detached, architect-designed barn conversion which has two spacious bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, and a lovely oak timber living room with large glazed windows overlooking the tranquil garden and meadow beyond. Daffodil is the perfect quiet spot to totally chill and relax in rural Cornwall, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Complete with underfloor heating, a wood burner for those chillier evenings and sumptuous furnishings, this property is an absolute delight. Dogs are most welcome here and the friendly owners who live to the rear of the holiday cottages are most accommodating. The entrance to the three cottages is planted with a wild flower meadow, to encourage butterflies and wildlife and the patio gardens are planted with sweet smelling honeysuckles and roses. For the keen walkers there is an abundance of walking trails around the area or a little further afield in just under an hour you could visit both North and South Cornish coastilines. STERTS open-air theatre is just a short drive from the cottages, a fabulous place to visit to watch a play or listen to poetry or music, set high up on the edge of the Bodmin Moor. Beach 20 miles. Shop and restaurant 4 miles, pub serving food 1¼ miles.
Primrose (ref 30212), Snowdrop (ref 30213) and Daffodil (ref UKC1333) can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests.

This property is a beautiful conversion, very well thought out design and in keeping with the original farm house with a modern twist inside. Was a little remote but if you don’t mind a drive out then perfect for a relaxing retreat .

Excellent cottage in a tranquil and peaceful location. Friendly owners the cottage is placed nicely for trips to north, south and west Cornwall, as well as trips over the border to Devon. Definitely a great location to recharge your batteries, in between days out and about and later spot some wildlife from the comfort of the patio.

Overall enjoyed a week’s R&R at Daffodil which is in a wonderful setting. Warm welcome from the hosts and thoughtful treats. The building work next door - generator and cement mixer etc - did disturb us unfortunately.

This is a lovely 2 bedroom converted barn in a quiet rural location, very well presented with everything you need for a comfortable stay, surrounded by fields and not too far away from local amenities, with the nearest town of Callington only a few miles away. The property also has the shared use of a games room. Clare as the host was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again if holidaying in Cornwall just be aware that it travel time is approximately 30-40minutes to some of the local beaches and places of interest.
