A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. It isn't particularly close to any amenities (in terms of walking distance), but is an easy drive to Pocklington or York. Only drawback was that the hot water for shower/bath wasn't very reliable (although was very hot and powerful when present!). All in all a lovely stay, and hopefully one to repeat

The property was in a lovely, relaxing spot with stunning views. However, there were no basic items in the cottage - even though I'd phoned to check what was available. Not even salt and pepper or sugar. I would have taken mine if I'd known. We have stayed in many cottages in recent years and there is usually at least teabags, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and sometime even wine and fresh fruit or a freshly baked cake. So a bit disappointed over that. There were quite a few cobwebs around, especially in the kitchen cupboards around the sink, two had spiders living in them. The wine glasses were also dirty. The shower went cold after one very quick shower too, (there were four of us) so that wasn't good. And no towels except one small hand towel in each bathroom and the pillows were actually hard! The chap who owns the property called to see us and did bring some sugar down and also gave us a pack of his organic oats which was kind of him. He was very pleasant but we still felt the actual property, rather than the location, was a bit basic.

We stayed at Low Callis Granary Friday to Sunday evening. I must say that the location is fantastic, with views to die for. Although not much to do except chill out and relax. You have everything you need in the cottage, so don’t worry. If I could afford to buy the place I wouldn’t hesitate. Can’t wait to go back.

Lovely spacious cottage, great garden for our dogs, really peaceful quite location. Well equipped kitchen, nice ensuite bathroom with shower downstairs and another bathroom with a bath upstairs ideal for a family. The towns of Pocklington and Stamford Bridge provided plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants all the amenities you need approximately 10-15 minutes drive away. Visited castles, churches and beaches Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington which are all dog friendly. Ideallly situated for the Yorkshire Wolds and Moors.

A lovely stay in a secluded location with beautiful views which is what we wanted. Good amenities relatively nearby in Pocklington. Cottage clean and warm but could do with some updating as some of furniture looking rather tired. Microwave base needs attention and some pans in cupboard were dirty and old didn't look very hygienic. Main area of concern is in wet room off main bedroom where water did not drain away so floor remained wet and slippery all day which was inconvenient . We would however return as we had a relaxed weekend break and really did not want to leave. Thank You
