Great size for our group. Beds comfy. Carpets in good order. Clean linen and towels. Kitchen and bathrooms clean. Amazing scenery. Great location for our family wedding weekend. Definitely needs some TLC. ( as several people had mentioned in the guest book over some time) A deep clean and a lick of paint required. Luckily the weather was amazing so we could see the breathtakingly beautifu view from the patio but if we'd had to rely on the picture window in the sitting room we would've struggled. Also no hair dryer! Please provide one. All of that said I would recommend it.

An excellent base to visit Hay and surrounding area. Cottage was spacious and comfortable but could benefit from a second working shower. Outside space was fantastic -the children and the dog enjoyed running around.

Location wonderful Bungalow spacious and has a lot of the facilities required for a nice stay. Some maintenance is required as there are long cracks in a couple of bedroom walls, dining table had large split in it and one of the toilets had a piece of string as part of the chain (which broke) but these issue were totally overweighed by the beautiful views out of the bedroom windows each morning. Overall, all enjoyed the stay

Perhaps the bathrooms need to be updated especially for a large group. The caretaker/housekeeper was fantasticlly helpful in arranging for us to be towed out in the deep snow.

Great location , cottage very tired , wrotten Windows , cobwebs , smelt of damp , one Loo had bolt catch on door fixed with a bit of cardboard , room with shower in had masking tape patching the ceiling which was hanging down , much of the crockery was chipped , carpets had lots of stains on which makes you Wairey to walk around barefoot . Wifi wasn't great some lights were without bulbs .

For an extended family holiday this property has a wonderful setting particularly if you love the countryside which we all did, there are birds to see rabbits on the doorstep and the view from the front of the house is magnificent. Masses of space for children to run and play and with no immediate neighbours there was no concern regarding noise. Hay and the river plus the close hills of the Beacons provide ample choice to see this part of the country and enjoy the outdoors. The property is what it is quaint but expansive with all you would expect in appliances and comfort.

Excellent place to stay with large family - lots of space to be together and spend time apart as well.
