Sitting in this private lodge park within the Loch Lomond and Trossach National Park, and with only a short stroll to the loch side, this lodge is in an idyllic location. With stunning views over Loch Lomond and backed by the spectacular Ben Lomond, this location is perfect for enjoying all the amenities of the area. For the more energetic, there are plenty of marked walks around the loch and within the area. The West Highland Way running 92 miles from Milgavie to Fort William passes close by at the loch side. There are opportunities for water sports in the area along with horse riding and mountain biking, and you can ’bag a Munro’ too. There are great days out close by with Balloch Castle and Country Park, 12miles, and Loch Lomond Shores, the principal gateway to Scotland’s first National Park. It is a spectacular visitor destination combining a great loch side location with a mixture of leisure and shopping experiences. A short drive will take you to Stirling with its spectacular castle, Inverary with a good selection of tourist shops, or the city of Glasgow with its historic buildings, many restaurants and wide selection of designer shops. Or just relax by the loch on the decking of your lodge and take a walk to the local hotel for a meal and drink. Shops 11 miles, restaurant and pub 150 yards.

    Had a wonderful Christmas here they decorated the lodge for us and had the lodge was very well equipped. A personal touch made it homely. You can tell it’s very well looked after and would quite happily go back every year. There were just a few bits of maintenance needed (the light in a bedroom and the gas cooker ignition) but did not stop use. Thankyou for giving us a Christmas too remember.

    Beautiful lodge, very well equipped and with the added bonus of basics such as, oil, salt and pepper, cling film, foil, toiletries etc which many holiday rentals don’t supply. Well furnished and located in a very picturesque area close to the loch side. We were blessed with dry sunny weather for our weeks stay, in wet conditions we would have struggled to keep occupied. For us the 7 mile drive along a narrow track to reach even the very small village of Balmaha became tedious. If you are happy to walk everywhere and take food and such necessities with you then I would say you will enjoy your stay. If you want to be close to amenities without a long drive then maybe you should look elsewhere.
