Whether you retreat for that romantic break for two, or you bring the kids for some family time, Barton Pines has everything you need to enjoy your holiday, your way. The lodges and apartments in our Barton Pines collection have been carefully designed with the ‘wow’ factor in mind, so expect a décor that’ll take your breath away and an inspiring interior design in every one. You’ll find baby friendly and dog friendly choices, and many of the lodges have a bubbling hot tub to make a stay extra special. Over in the historic main building, the chic apartments have an elegant feel, with several showcasing those stunning Torbay views. And no matter which pad you opt for, you’ll be just moments from wonderful dining and spa experiences.

When did you last while away lazy days with a group of your favourite people? With touches of luxury and a setting at the beautiful Barton Pines, Lodge 19 is perfect for those catch up and wind down sort of breaks. Whether you stay with family or friends, this brand new lodge’s features make it all too easy to forget the wider world for awhile, and that bubbling hot tub just outside means evenings are all about stargazing from the water until you’re ready to head inside. Touches like underfloor heating on both levels add a little touch of luxury, so you can unwind no matter what the season.

The whole Barton Pines collection has been carefully created with you in mind, and you’ll enjoy use of the on-site restaurant (make sure you don’t miss those spectacular rural views), the sauna, and the gym. And, for those special treats to help you unwind, the spa offers a range of treatments. Barton Pines offers the best of both worlds. While it’s tucked in the countryside with a feeling of being far from the madding crowds, you’ll find some fantastic days out within easy reach by car. For those bucket and spade days, there’s Torbay and its award-winning beaches, and if you fancy strolling the sloping streets of a traditional market town, there’s Totnes – and both are within a 15-minute drive.

Our lodge was beautiful inside with everything you needed. But the lodges and hot tubs are unfortunately all on top of each other and our holiday was spoilt by selfish neighbours who obviously didn’t care about anyone else. Unfortunately there was a hot tub right below our bedroom window (not ours). On our first night there was a rather loud family in their hot tub at 10.00pm but luckily not for long we had left home really early that morning hence early night (we wouldn’t normally be in bed at that time). The same family thought it would be good fun to watch us in our hot tub through their bathroom skylight window the following day (and one of their other windows looked right out on our hot tub which made us feel uncomfortable hence we didn’t use it very much). On the same morning a young family were in their hot tub at 7am screaming & shouting (and my friend in our lodge who was also woken up decided to walk her dog and she saw the dad of the screaming family sitting there with his ear phones on great for him but not everyone else). On our last night two loud couples were in their hot tub (under our bedroom window) until 12.30am in the morning hence we only got 3.5 hours sleep as we had to get up & leave at 4am to get home. We wished we had left that night now instead. I work 6 days a week hence do like a lay in when I go on holiday but I didn’t realise the layout would be like it was (hence I wouldn’t have chosen). I also have a 8 year old child hence do not have a problem with children enjoying themselves but just at a reasonable time. There needs to be curfew times on the hot tubs (or someone needs to patrol the area). You also had the selfish dog owners who didn’t keep their dogs on leads and just let them run/poo everywhere including the big pile behind our car boot which was annoying when we needed to get things in and out of it. But on the plus side all the staff were outstanding, friendly and very helpful. We had items missing from our lodge and every time we telephoned reception someone brought it straight around to our door (we didn’t mind going to get them). They also came straight around to make two single beds into one double bed (the beds were also amazing so comfortable). All the spa staff were amazing and very helpful (the spa was great). The restaurant & staff was absolutely amazing with the best chef ever (try the Gnocchi one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten). 5 star service all around from all staff (thank you). Stunning accommodation and location just put off by the selfish neighbours considering it’s a spa holiday.
