Situated on the edge of the seaside conservation village of Rockcliffe, this detached character property, overlooking White Loch, offers an ideal holiday base from which to explore the Solway coastline and surrounding area. Wonderful forest, coastal and lochside walks from the doorstep and direct cycling access into Dalbeattie Forest - one of the ‘7 Stanes’. The delightful sailing village of Kippford (with two pubs) and the beaches of Rockcliffe and Sandyhills are just over 2 miles away. There is complimentary membership to Colvend Golf Club available during your stay to the end of March 2019 (subject to availability). RSPB Mersehead and National Trust properties are nearby. Shop 150 yards, pub ½ mile.

    Fabulous well equipped cottage in a great location. The double bed was pretty uncomfortable but the single beds were great. A wonderful cottage to go with family or friends and the dog. Great beaches and forest walks very close by. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.

We are glad you found the cottage well equipped and pleased you had everything you required. We apologise if you found the mattress did not suit you it is the same make and age as the twin beds. A Relyon Cashmere Top 1200 pocket spring medium support. I have checked the bed and we are sorry it did have a squeak so have tightened up all the screws which should have sorted any problems, Im glad you brought this to our attention. We look forward to welcoming you back to Loch View and the area.

    Beautiful cottage in a stunning part of Scotland made even better by fantastic weather. The cottage catered for every need and it was exceptionally clean and well presented. Thoughtful welcome baskets were left for us and the dog which were very appreciated.
