It's a lovely cottage in a small commuter village. Really tidy and clean with a hot tub view of the sunset that is absolutely stunning. Its about 25 mins away from a bunch of different beaches so we got good variety, 10 mins drive from Haverfordwest so shopping was easy enough too. No nearby takeaways but the local pub does a decent menu at the weekend and the chippy in Haverfordwest was great. Plenty of child-friendly activities nearby (at various price points) but the weather was so good we mostly went to the beaches. Broad Haven, Pendine Sands, Newport and Nolton being our top choices. The kitchen is well equipped and all ground floor so no stairs for the kids to fall down (!). It held its temperature on hot days too, not too warm to sleep in. Downsides were the building site across the road made the front garden pretty uninhabitable even on Sunday but that won't be forever. The muckspreading on the field next door was pretty pungent for the 2nd half of our stay, but then if you will go to the countryside... The house has a high chair and good sized travel cot (no sheets though) for our toddler but other aspects need a rethink to really be toddler friendly (barbed wire on the back fence, insect traps and cleaning/bleach products at low level for example). With a bit of a sweep for hazards and keeping her away from the back we were ok though. All in all I would recommend the house, we had a lovely week there.

We first stayed at this cottage 8yrs ago. Having decided to visit South Wales again, this was an obvious choice. We could not fault the accommodation and facilities. The local pub serves amazing food and I'm sorry the local shop is no longer in the village, I missed walking for my paper. Overall, a wonderful break, breathtaking scenery and such friendly locals. Thank you.

Absolutely loved this short break. Perfect in every respect. I marked local amenities as a 10 because there is the train station a short walk away. There aren’t many other amenities other than the pub but we didn’t want or need them hence it was perfect for us. Owner was terrific and responsive and the home was wonderful especially the hot tub, great anniversary break
