Deceptively spacious, Llety-R-Wennol has been attractively put together with en-suite bedrooms, a large living area and a contemporary style dining room/kitchen. Guests can enjoy the indoor games room equipped with a pool table, or venture outside and relax on the private patio whilst watching the wildlife flourishing, where otters, kingfishers and red kites can be spotted on a clear day! The picturesque Millennium Coastal Path is just a short drive away which occupies 13½ miles of breathtaking coastline, along the shores which leads you to the scenic Pembrey Country Park with its golden beaches, dry ski slope and horse riding trails. Away from the coast, Carmarthenshire countryside is just as promising with its array of charming market towns including Carmarthen and Llandelio, as well its enchanted medieval sites dotted around the county including Kidwelly, Llansteffan and Laugharne castles along the coast. The Pembrokeshire border is within easy reach and is home to the popular coastal resort of Tenby, with its cobbled streets, sea food restaurants and award winning leisure attraction including Oakwood and Folly Farm.     The bungalow suited our family group well. With our two fathers, both in their nineties enjoying the comfort it afforded and also the pool table. Some things to consider are the 60 mph road, which can be busy at certain times. The elevated position of the bungalow means the trafffic isn’t too intrusive although it might be for some. There was no outdoor furniture when we visited as it was being replaced. Both the owner and the caretaker of the property explained the situation and we were able to use our own chairs to sit out and enjoy the wonderful view. Please also be aware that the bedroom upstairs has no door and the en suite is small. All in all we had a great time, the property is good value, comfortable and spacious. We would certainly return for a second visit.

    The cottage is just perfect. Great location - not in the middle of it and not too far from any essentials you may need while staying there. House is very well equipped. We found things we wouldn't even have thought to take that were there. All rooms are very functional and house was spotless. Also really like the character of it. We were welcomed by a lovely gift basket with sweet treats made by the owners. We felt welcomed like you do when you come in to stay with your family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs to getaway from it all and looks no further than Wales. You won't be dissapointed!

    We had a fab family weekend in the cottage - amenities are a drive away so not as convenient as we would have liked but having said that we’re rebooking so it clearly wasn’t a great issue 👍🤪

    Need a car to get around as no footpath on road, plenty of places to visit in area , property was large and comfortable, although not much hot water for showers, property was listed a no dogs but there were signs that a dog visits this property. Overall a good size property and a good base to visit the area .

However, a thorough inspection of the property following your departure concluded that previous guests had not brought pets into the cottage. We hope you will visit us again in the future.

    The cottage looks stunning but has many drawbacks. Would rate as 2 star and not good value for money. One wardrobe between everyone, you are expected to live out of your suitcase. Only one decent shower so en-suite is a joke. Outside area is large but not usable, paths are slippy and grass has not been cut for months. Driveway is very steep and it is a blind exit onto 60 mph road.

We currently provide one large double wardrobe and a cupboard in the hall for hanging clothes and storing luggage. We will provide more wardrobe space. We are addressing the issues regarding the showers and giving our heating and hot water system a complete overhaul. We have employed a new property maintenance company and the exterior of the cottage has been professionally power-washed and improved. The grass has been mowed and the hedges have been cut right back to improve vision when exiting the drive. The property is in an elevated position and when you walk up the path to the house you experience a panoramic vista of the surrounding countryside and a beautiful view of the estuary, particularly when the tide is in. Without this elevation you wouldn't be able to appreciate those views or the special feeling of staying at the property. Whilst the drive has an incline, of the three parking spaces, one is completely level and it is easy to disembark. There are only three steps to the front door. Thank you for your review.

    It's 3 bedroom & 3 bathroom, but only 1 person at a time can have a shower, due to low water pressure. Not good enough when paying holiday prices. The third bedroom has no door to it so open to the sitting room!! The smell of paraffin oil is nauseating. General upkeep is poor, not enough seats for 6 people, no working light in third bedroom. Steep driveway with steps not suitable for immobile person. Lots of other issues, including no handle on the shower door, one set of keys between 6 people.

    Response on behalf of the owner. Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at our cottage. We have been working to remedy the shower issues this season and installed a new heating oil tank and heating and hot water control system. We are shortly going to install a brand new boiler and immersion hot water tank so that there will be extra hot water for all guests to shower more easily. Due to the property being in constant use this year we haven't had the opportunity to fit the new boiler as it is a two or three day job. We only discovered that there was a smell of kerosene/heating oil when we tested the new heating and hot water control system. None of our guests had reported this to our caretaker and it was only from online reviews that we knew that a number of guests had experienced this. We always provide our guests with contact details for us and our caretaker and ask that issues like this are reported immediately so that we can carry out repairs. Our third bedroom is a loft/mezzanine style which is open but can't be seen from the downstairs lounge. Most people are happy with this arrangement but some prefer a little more privacy. Please refer to the photographs on the cottages.com website. We will raise the upkeep issues with our caretaker. We have been advised to only issue one set of keys to guests and ask that you make use of the key safe box provided to leave keys when you go out separately during the day.     This is a spacious, beautiful bungalow with stunning views from the lounge and patio. It is in general well equipped and comfortably furnished but with some simple additions and maintenance could be greatly improved. .Although work has been carried out on the outside oil tank and a new heating control installed there is still an overwhelming unpleasant smell of oil from the boiler in the utility room and we had to have the window open constantly. .The house is set well back and traffic noise from the very fast road was not a problem. However for safety reasons a mirror needs to be installed to make exiting the driveway less hazardous and scary. Even cutting back the hedge would help! .The garden, rear pathway and patio need maintenance. There were huge brambles across the lawn, lots of weeds on the patio and the rear path was very slippery when damp. .The twin bedroom, although spacious, has no wardrobe or chest of drawers. Although a storage cupboard in the hall has been equipped with some hanging facilities this was dusty and contained the Hoover and cot bed and was impractical to use. .Although the floors and surfaces had been cleaned on arrival two of the three toilets had not been adequately cleaned. Donning rubber gloves was not a great start to the holiday! If these changes could be made, we feel this holiday home could be fabulous and in spite of the complaints we had a great holiday in this beautiful part of the country and made good use of the splendid pool table.

    Needs 6 matching chairs . Coukd really do with a new table. Only 4 chairs for outside. Extra wardrobes needed only one that was in main bedroom. Flex on light in 2nd bedroom not long enough to reach plug .
