This was the 6th time we were there and still have not enough of it.There is so much to do in the near surrounding. As the weather was superb one can not wish a better holliday.

Excellent accomodation and hosts. A bit out of the way but that was our choice. Would certainly recommend and visit again.

A beautiful setting and a cosy place to stay. We had to curtail our stay due to a severe illnesss but having spent several days using the barn fully we were in a good position to highlight strengths and weaknesses. Firstly for anyone over 6ft tall you will find the beam and door heights an issue. After several head knocks my husband remembered to duck. The bathroom was clean and modern and just right. The storage in the kitchen could be a bit better allocated, I had to juggle cupboard contents to make way for our food items. The fridge freezer was excellent though. We mostly hand washed crocks but the small dishwasher was a bonus for larger bathches. We used the sofa a lot but really needed a foot rest or poufee for it to be relaxing and comfortable. It was very warm during our stay but the end of the cottage with the patio has no shade at all. The only reprieve we could get was under the tree in the garden and we did purchase a parasol to help but the patio table had no hole to locate it. Really it would be a great idea to install a simple hook and shade system on the patio so it can be easily dismantled when not needed, otherwise a patio table with parasol would be better. Having spent days under the tree we spotted dozens of birds, tree creepers, warblers, robin and black caps to name a few, however we had to lay on blankets we purchased as there were no garden recliners which would have been more comfortable and homely. Although the very local vicinity was pretty and quiet, the air traffic noise was horrendous for three days and nights. Maybe we are just not used to this and it was over bank holiday weekend but you could only escape the distraction by going indoors. Brian keeps the barn beautifully but sadly we did not enjoy the coastline or areas outside the village so we would not return to Sussex generally but with my husband taken so poorly whilst away our impression may be rather tainted.
