Enjoy a fantastic holiday at Little Lansker and be sure to delve into the history of nearby Winchester city.

This “upside down” detached holiday property has the bedrooms on the ground floor and living areas on the first floor, with lovely views over the fields. Situated in the grounds of the owners’ home, it is located along a peaceful single track lane on the edge of the village of Kings Worthy, which offers local shops and pubs. Only 2 miles from the lively and attractive city of Winchester, the ancient capital of England. Sometimes known as the legendary Camelot, it is steeped in history and culture and was one of the locations for the filming of the ’Da Vinci Code’. As well as the Winchester Cathedral, there’s the magnificent Great Hall and its pride and joy, The Round Table. Cultural enthusiasts will delight in Wolvesey Palace, the Old Bishop’s Palace and Winchester College, one of the oldest public schools in England. Your trip may also include paying your respects at the graves of some of England’s greatest kings and queens, bishops, saints and literary giants such as Jane Austen. Alternatively, there’s the Peninsula Barracks where you can fire a Baker Rifle or find out more about the history of various regiments of the British Army. Winchester also lies on the route of some historic trails and you can walk in the ancient steps of pilgrims on routes that vary from a few hours or could take you all the way to France. Hampshire has a lot to offer visitors, from attractive coastline, the spectacular hills of the South Downs and the lovely chalk streams and water meadows of the Meon Valley, the varied attractions of Portsmouth and Southampton, the New Forest and only one hour from London. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Ground floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with en-suite shower room and toilet. First floor: Living/dining room/kitchen.

Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. iPod dock. Electric cooker. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge. Freezer. Wi-fi. Patio with garden furniture. Beautiful cottage. We loved the location, it was quite and very relaxing. Winchester is just over a mile away so not far to travel if you want to visit the town centre. There is a nice pub just down the road which serves good food and they also had a live local band playing on the day we visited. Tesco expresses is not far from the property if you chose to shop for food/toiletries. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely weather, plenty to do in Winchester and surrounding area. Cottage well equipped, but we did have a bit of trouble working out how to use the oven. Quiet rural location, but close to local shops.

Great 3 night stay. Ideal location. Supermarket very close by for emergency extras. Extremely comfortable cottage with lots of space for myself and 3 children. Garden to sit in and country walks, but close to town. Hope to return but next time armed with cleaning products - none available in cottage and bathrooms not as clean as expected. Owners across the drive were very discreet. Wifi great, and mobile signal too. Books and games aplenty and TV with usual free view channels. Children happy!!

Property very overlooked by owners home. No cleaning materials provided. Requested a new rubbish bag and had to wait 36hrs. for one. Not good.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. The property is in the grounds of my home, and my property doesnt overlook Little Lansker and doesn’t impact on privacy. we share parking which is suitable for 7 cars. This is self catering accommodation however we do provide a welcome pack and it does contain 2 bin liner which are in the bins on your arrival.

Beautiful cottage, immaculately presented in a stunning location. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Only downside is the double bed is very uncomfortable and it was difficult to get a good nights sleep all week. The twin beds were fine for the kids though.
