Little Holm is perfect for keen walkers as there are many paths to explore and in the evenings, enjoy relaxing by the fire.

A cosy thatched cottage with roses round its door (left of photograph), Little Holme is typical of the pretty properties which make Lustleigh one of Devon’s most picturesque villages, and voted 18th in the Telegraph’s best English Villages in 2014. One of a pair centrally set on the village green, close to the church, it is convenient for the village shop, inn and restaurant. An ideal holiday location for walkers, with walks from the front door and on the surrounding moorland, which offers horse riding, bird-watching and touring (Widecombe, Chagford and Haytor are all close by). And the coast is only 15 miles away. Teignmouth 30 minutes by car. Lustleigh hosts excellent country fairs every May Day and August Bank Holiday. Many excellent restaurants in Chagford and Ashburton. Shop 30 yards.

Entrance into cosy, beamed living room with inglenook fireplace and dining area. Beamed kitchen. First floor: Two bedrooms; one zip and link super kingsize (can be twin beds on request) and one small twin (2ft 6in beds). Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

Wood-burning stove – fuel available locally. Electricity underfloor heating (in living room), fan heaters, two convector heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. TV. DVD. Stereo/CD. iPod dock. Microwave. Fridge/freezer. Dishwasher. Washer/dryer. Wi-fi. Small grassed sitting-out area with furniture. Roadside parking 25yards. No smoking.

This is an absolutely fabulous cottage situated within 1 minute walk of a pub, tea rooms & a bakery/shop/post office. Everything you need is provided. Although parking is not available directly outside the cottage, which is used for loading purposes only, there were plenty of easily available car spaces within a very short distance. The cottage provided access to several short/long walks from the front door and is located in a very pretty village close to other pretty hamlets and wonderful countryside. Linen, cooker, washing machine, log fire and TV with DVD provided (although not DVD's, shampoo, logs or kindling and mobile signal was non existent!). We found that the fire had been used as it was not cleaned when we arrived (fortunately the weather was very good and we did not need to light it which was just as well as we had no kindling or logs!). Thoroughly recommend this cottage for either a couple of family of four and look forward to staying there again.

Fantastic cottage in a picturesque village, 2 single beds in master bedroom to make large king size. Bedding was spotlessly clean but could have done with lower tog duvets. Two single beds in second bedroom. Very good shower over bath and safety handrail to help getting in & out and again very clean. Large soft fluffy towels were lovely. Stairs were quite steep but to be expected in a cottage of that age, so perhaps not suitable for less able bodied or very young children. Kitchen was well equipped and equipment was clean, but unit doors & around outside of oven could do with a wipe down as some grease & splatter, but I am quite fastidious about cleaning! We were lucky with parking as none designated so it's a case of finding a space around the village. There is a pub, shop & tea room in the village. We didn't use the pub but the shop was well stocked. The Primrose tea room is definitely worth visiting, cream tea and coffee & walnut cake to die for and very reasonable. Good walks, we took our little dog on her first holiday and she loved it although dogs not supposed to go on furniture or upstairs which was a challenge as stairs straight out of living room!

This cottage was perfect for our family. Great location with easy access to everything in Dartmoor we wanted to visit. Lovely little village. Comfortable, homely cottage. Highly recommend.
