Description

A fantastic retreat whatever the season; relax in the south-facing garden, enjoy the peaceful location or explore the Suffolk coast.

This charming semi-detached holiday cottage combines a very well equipped practical home with a quiet location in the heart of the Suffolk village of Snape. The village is famous for the Snape Maltings, home of the Aldeburgh Festival of music and has an interesting range of boutique shops, galleries and antiques. An ideal spot for year round breaks, guests can enjoy al fresco dining in the fully enclosed south-facing garden after a day on the beach or sightseeing. Whilst on a winter break, enjoy bracing walks along the river to Iken, a cosy pub lunch and evenings in front of the roaring woodburner. Little Crofton is the ideal base for couples or small families to enjoy the delights of the Suffolk coast at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, both a short drive away, or Orford, on the River Ore, a similar distance away. Slightly further away is the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, Southwold, Walberswick and the market town of Woodbridge. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile. Properties 29844 and 24219 stand adjacent and can be booked together to accommodate up to 9+2 guests.

Ground floor: Living room with French doors. Dining room/
conservatory with French doors and wooden floor. Kitchen with breakfast area and tiled floor. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 twin, 1 bunk (top bed for child). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

We had a lovely 4-night stay in Little Crofton: the cottage is very well equipped, beautifully clean and was like home-from-home. Worth noting that although the cottage is advertised as sleeping 6 people, the third bedroom is very small and has high bunk beds so would not be suitable for adults.

Our first visit to Suffolk so clean, comfortable cottage plus welcome bottle of wine & biscuits made for a good introduction to the county. All helped by warm sunny weather so able to use the garden frequently. Visited quite a few places but many more to see , so we will visit again hopefully.

Beautiful holiday home, warm, comfortable and well equipped. We were greated with a lovely hamper and made to feel really at home. Little Crofton is close to the lovely Snape Maltings and some really beautiful walks. We would definitely stay again, thank you !

This was the seventh time we have visited Little Crofton as we love the house and the area. There are lots of places we like to visit with our two Cavaliers so we can have a lovely relaxing time with some nice walks thrown in. Southwold is a must for us and we always have a lite lunch on the Pier with a walk from the Lifeboat Museum afterwards! Dunwich beach and heath, Sizewell, Snape Maltings, Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh - the list just goes on and we never get bored!
