Fabulous cottage, well equipped and comfortable. The views are stupendous - I'm a landscape photographer and I was blown away! It's a great base for discovering the area. Previous reviews have mentioned the limited headroom, and yes, the front door is indeed low, and there are low beams in the bedroom. However to say that they repeatedly smashed their heads says a lot about their intelligence. I adapted, as most animals would. If I had a concern about the cottage, then it would be the hot tub - the instructions stated that it requires daily maintenance of the chemicals in the water, and this wasn't the case. And it could leave the owner open to complaints. The cottage however is quite wonderful and I think you will love it.

Fantastic views from Little Barn. Very kind of owners to leave little gifts for us upon arrival. Very much appreciated. Had a lovely relaxing week which included the use of a hot tub.

A brilliant holiday cottage, the owners have made much of restricted area to offer the luxury and comfort holiday makers want. The views are outstanding from the garden, the property is/was spotless and extremely comfortable. The only niggle if any, is the low beams in the bedroom, but this added to the quirkiness of this 1600 century building.

We’ve spent amazing time in Little Barn. View is unbelievable, area very quiet. Cottage is cosy, wery well equipped, eco-friendly water heating system. Washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher, all working good. Good start to discover Snowdonia. Be aware of low sealing in the bedroom if you have problems bending-would not recommend. Water spa is great too, regret we didn’t stay longer

very quiet and peaceful location with stunning views however i must point out that there is very limited head room on entry to the cottage, in the kitchen area and especially in the bedroom ,we struggled to get around without constantly banging our heads. First cottage we been to where no one greeted us upon arrival to show how things worked including use of the hot tub (no instructions for use of but plenty of rules to comply with) we were shocked to find no one came to check the chlorine levels of the hot tub during our stay we have used hot tubs before and they have always been checked daily, access was also restricted as it was sited in a small summer house which meant no room around the sides and made lifting the cover very difficult. welcome pack was a nice touch but would have been more useful to have been provided with a toilet roll .

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. With regard to the headroom, it does mention on the web site that it has low beams and is clearly seen on the photographs. Sadly it is impossible to greet everybody on arrival as the times vary hugely which is why we provide a keysafe by the front door. The chemicals were checked midweek by myself and had the water changed the day of your arrival. The hot tub is in a summer house with stunning views across Cardigan bay and can be used in all weathers. I apologise for the cleaners not including the toilet roll normally they are always left with the Prosecco and the welcome pack. Clearly this cottage was not to your liking. Thankfully the comments are not reflective of other guests feedback.

The location and view are wonderful, although we found it difficult to sit out due to the noise from the generator, we like to listen to the birds. As no-one else seems to have commented on this, maybe it is faulty? The cottage inside has a comfortable sofa and bed and a decent shower, and the welcome pack was lovely, as was the hot tub. But I think it would be helpful to warn people with limited mobility (like myself) about the lack of head height and steep step into the property. I have numerous bruises from hitting my head (I'm 5'2''), and I fell twice. The cottage is in my view not suitable for children or small dogs. A young agile couple would probably be fine in it though. We would though look at booking the cottage next door as it has more room.
