We stayed the last week of February and I think we were the first couple to stay this year. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side, as we found that the cottage was not warm enough. Ive no doubt it would be a lovely place during the summer months.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Dear guest, with ref to your review. Unfortunately, in your effort to change the heat setting, you put the heating system on holiday mode so effectively shut down half the system. Someone was at home next door 90% of the time during your stay and had you mentioned it to us we could have corrected the setting and made sure the temperature was set to your requirement. Sally did explain to you on your arrival that the instruction card to change settings was on top of the thermostat controller. The cottage is fairly new and has a grade A energy rating with state of the art underfloor heating.

Bed in a very poor condition with the result of massiv backpain (we have both went to the pharmacy to get pain Killers and a Thermacare back belt); not more than 10 hours sleep the whole week, no garden as discribed online; no easy way to the the Pub and to the inn as discribed on website; bathroom: no seperation between shower and the rest of the bath; every day after having a shower it was not possible to enter the bathroom without getting wet feet because of flooding; this accomodation is not worth the money!!!!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; My only reply to this complaint to other potential clients would be to read the other reviews on Little Ashton. The mattresses are new orthopaedic mattresses, we don’t say there is a garden in the cottage details and there is no bath in the wet room - The en-suite wet room is just what it says. At no time did the guests make any complaint to us directly during their stay. When asked on departure if they had enjoyed their stay, they replied “yes”.

Very nice cottage - lovely wet room and very comfy bed. It could do with some outside space, although it wasn't warm enough to sit outside while we were there!

Had a lovely week at Little Ashton. We were made to feel very at home and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We loved the large bed and spacious bedroom and wetroom. The whole place was spotless. It was very well equipped - I just wish there had been some casserole/flan dishes etc. for the microwave oven because we do like to cook and eat in. We would definitely come again and recommend to others.

This is the second time we have been to the cottage. We enjoyed it very much, Ann was very nice and told us of a lovely pub for food and drink.
