Lovely cottage with stunning views and with fabulous walks nearby. We stayed for four days and the cottage is well equipped and cosy with an open fire and air conditioning heating which kept the cottage warm. We also got a welcome pack with all the food essentials which was really nice. There is a local pub just down the road 'Inn at Aird a Bhasair' which I would recommend - friendly staff, welcoming and great food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed.

Really nice cottage in it's own grounds in an stunning location, great views of the boat to Mallaig out of the living room and kitchen windows. Attractive big well stocked kitchen with Porch entrance, ideal for muddy boots. Nice evenings by the fire, though the fire was essential as the air con heating systems seems bizarre for Isle of Skye. Difficult to work and the heat would dissipate quickly when the units were off, I feel even small storage heaters would work better especially in the bedroom. saying that we had a wonderful New year period on Skye including a fantastic Hogmanay celebrations at the Clan Donald centre.

Vey nice comfortable cottage in a lovely location - would definately visit again. Little niggles only - the basin in the bathroom is loose and not level and if you were a bit infirm the bottom gate could prove a bit difficult to open as it is not on its hinges and drags on the floor.

We stayed over England’s May half term. 26th May. Weather was average at 24*c. Glorious. I have to say it was amazing. From driving up the drive and having ample parking to entering the cottage, it was immaculate. We were left a care package of Eggs, bacon, bread, butter and milk. -Thank you. The utensils are good, a great chopping board and sturdy tin opener. Washing machine, dishwasher and standard fridge freezer. Big double bedroom. Great pillows and a could duvet. The mattress in “adult bedroom” does sink in the middle, this just meant the husband was cuddling me all night and who doesn’t want that? Loved waking up to the that view. I instagrammed (I’m a millennial) it every morning. In complete awe. Kids (13 & 10) both said their beds where comfortable. Teenager moaned about about all the light at “night time” we gave him a eye mask and told him to stop moaning. Good shower and deep bath. Hot water needs to be turned on, other wise it’s a chilly bath. We used the towels supplied and saved ours for our adventures. Basic TV channels, why you’d need more I’m not sure, we couldn’t believe the view! I understand what previous reviewers have commented about windows. It didn’t bother us. The weather was amazing all week, (super lucky) and we just opened the windows that we could. No big deal. A BBQ is kept in the out house and we used it to cook the mackerel we caught on Armadale pier. (You can rent a fishing rod for £10.) We used the bbq coal supplied then burnt some wood from the fire to keep it going, we sat on the patio using it as fire pit and enjoyed the view. Watching ferry go back and forth. The location is a 5 minute drive from Armadale pier, takes 15/20 minutes to walk. Pub in village is “town” prices, nice Guinness. We didn’t eat here. The cottage is rural and your surround by farm, watching the lambs frolicking about was amusing. There is a shop and petrol station in the Armadale village. We shopped in Fort William before arriving. Trust us when we say co op in broadford (30 minutes away max) is expensive. We did travel all around Skye, the cottage is southern and you will need to travel to get about. However if you were staying in central Skye you’d still have to do this. We found looking at local tours (Skye bus) then doing our own version was best. Take a picnic too, places to eat aren’t in rural places. If you see a toilet, go! A lot of places ask you to donate. Please donate, you don’t need to be that person who uses the facilities and doesn’t donate. That’s not cricket. We stopped at several YHA on our adventures and used their bathrooms. Visit Old man of storr Pixie pools (further down, past fairy pools) Fairy Glen. Uig Broadford seafood shack. Fishing at Armadale pier. Neist Point. Rubha Hunish. Just get out, walk, enjoy yourself and have a great time.
