Couldn't be more impressed ! Clean, comfortable and really well equipped, with everything you could need, including a lovely welcome basket which included fresh eggs which we all enjoyed! We were visiting the area for a family wedding and were all really happy to have found such a lovely place to stay. We didn't take our dog because of the wedding, but dog blankets and bowls were there for us to use -- lovely ! Would highly recommend.

Beautifully converted barn. Comfortable, spacious and warm. Very practical set up for dogs, although immediate access to the garden from the door would be easier, having said that the lanes are quiet and ideal for dog walking. Lovely welcome pack, fab shower. Definitely recommend and may return in the future. 😊

Country lanes from barn, really narrow, stressful going anyway. Also still dangerous walking them. Beautiful accommodation, but tree outside lounge window blocks sunlight.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed the accommodation. Lily’s Barn is in a rural location with single-track country lanes, which have very little traffic. There is direct access to fields behind the property with footpaths for walking away from any roads. We prune all our shrubs and trees in autumn so we will make sure the tree outside the window has a hard prune this year to let in more sunlight.

Much enjoyed our week in this very well appointed and comfortable property with nice owners, located in a very quiet, attractive, rural spot well removed from the village and main roads, with excellent dog walks along a permissive bridleway which commences close by. With no livestock in the vicinity, dogs were able to trot along off lead. Rochester old town is very nice to visit, as are Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate, and Canterbury. By far the best beach is Dymchurch on the South coast, lovely sand, views and blue sea, where the dogs had a good swim on the ample permitted area. A much appreciated welcome pack is provided, including white wine and fresh local eggs. In summary, a well recommended property.

Lily's Barn is lovely - we were only here for the weekend but would happily return for longer. Very comfortable and the welcome basket was very nice! Heather was extremely helpful.
