Great stay, really well positioned for the high street and for exploring surrounding area. The property was bigger than expected and really well equipped. Recommended!

Lilliput Cottage is in an excellent location for exploring the West Dorset coast and inland. It is also located in the very centre of Bridport with all requisite amenities with supermarkets within a stone's throw and a traditional butcher, a family firm dating back to 1515. Bridport has a rich history of ropemaking. The cottage is well equipped. It has the benefit of an allocated parking spot a few yards away. There are half a dozen attractive beaches - West Bexington, Cogden, Burton Bradstock, West Bay, Eype and Seatown (with Golden Cap) - within a few miles as well as the hill forts of Eggardon and Hardown. The area is also well known for its Jurassic fossils. We would be very pleased to re-visit in the future.

Location was excellent right in the middle of Bridport town centre. The cottage had everything we needed with two modern bathrooms, good sized kitchen and living space. It backs onto Waitrose which has deliveries some mornings at 4am which is going to wake up anyone sleeping in the top bedroom with the window open (we had 20C day temps and 14-18C night - the top bedroom was very warm). It was not a problem once the window was closed and apparently the noise could not be heard from the front ground floor bedroom. The off road parking was very useful and no trouble with any surrounding vehicles. You have two ways to get into the space if there is anyone parked where they shouldn't. A very enjoyable break for all.

Lillyput Cottage is a beautiful place to stay, relax and re charge your batteries. It is also so central to so many beautiful locations, family friendly and so peaceful. When we arrived we had a lovely welcome with flowers on the table and local biscuits. I would definately book again and recommend to ALL my family and friends. Great communication from the owner a week prior to staying. Thank You Morag x

I wanted to sleep in the top Bedroom but the toilet was not working ,we phoned the contact number that was left, the lady said she would look into it on Friday the Day we were leaving, it was very disappointing, as the note said just contact me if you need anything. I also couldn't close the curtains properly as there was a lot of noise coming from the pub across the road. we couldn't work the Television properly as we did not realize the box needed to be manually pressed on, we struggled with the remote and didn't realize the box wasn't on. After a 5 Hour journey we would have preferred a few tea Bags to a pkt of biscuits as we had to go shopping. Our Holiday was more about a rest than to see the sights and it was very noisy with the pub one side and the back of Waitrose on the other side with Deliveries and lorries being loaded during the Day.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments, we value guests feedback. We are sorry to hear there was complications with the use of the top bedroom toilet. Please rest assured this will be rectified as soon as possible. Welcome packs are always provided for our guests arrival, we are extremely sorry to hear this was an oversight on this occasion. We do provide instructions for the TV in the Welcome pack and will now look to simplify these to ensure further guests do not find the use of the TV difficult. We have checked the curtains of all rooms and can confirm they all function properly. We hope to have you with us again.
