If we were back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to,use the cottage again. We try to go to as many different locations as possible. One of the best equipped cottages we have used, in fact, probably the best.

We had a fantastic 10 days in this comfortable and well-equipped cottage with its lovely garden. The owners could not have been more helpful, answering any queries very promptly. Colyton is an interesting and historic little town, close to the sea and surrounded by beautiful contryside. There are some super circular walks of 5-6 miles which can be done direct from the cottage. A stay at Lilac Place is highly recommended by us in all respects. One word of warning - the cottage is next to Colyton's fascinating St Andrew's Church, the bells of which strike every quarter including through the night! So light sleepers should take earplugs.

This was our second visit to Lilac Place. A very comfortable house and spotlessly clean. Superb location, great town with a stunning church. Would love to return for a third visit in hopefully the not to distant future.

We had a very relaxing and peaceful short break, enjoying the Jurassic coast beaches at Seaton, Sidmouth, Lyme and Branksome. The cottage was perfect for us and the quaint historic town of Colyton was an ideal base to visit the surrounding area.

A wonderful week's holiday at Lilac place. The owners had clearly put so much effort into so many lovely welcoming touches to make the cottage a home from home. The kitchen was the best equiped we have ever come across in a holiday cottage. Rooms were spacious and light and airy, and the garden was beautiful. Many happy hours were passed in the games room at the bottom of the garden. The location was fantastic too, close to many lovely beaches and right in the centre of the village, a minute's walk to little convenience shops and next to a beautiful church

Well presented house and garden, very convenient for essential local amenities. Our week seemed rather busy with local visitors/workmen, so parking close to the property by day could have been awkward but for the fact that our small Aygo fitted into the garage.
