If I could give lilac cottage 100 I would. What an amazing place to stay. Nick was so helpful and very organised. It was so peaceful and quiet and you had the privacy of a lovely garden that was secluded with a massive hot tub.

Cottage building lovely. Garden interesting but uncared for apart from trees and bushes being lopped back. Interior, furniture and linens, curtains, bedding etc very tired. Couch very uncomfortable. Old and 2nd rate furniture. Plenty of crockery and utensils. Freezer hadn't been defrosted and when we tried to put used towels in laundry bin on day we were leaving we found towels from previous renters therein. We wouldn't choose to return. Sorry.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for the comments which I would like to respond to as I believe they do not accurately reflect the situation during the guests stay at Lilac Cottage. The Cottage has a mature garden which is one of the major features of the Cottage and many previous guests have commented on how beautiful and lovely the garden is with the security it adds for pets. I do not agree with the guests comments about the garden not being cared for as it is regularly maintained and the lawns are cut weekly, but the very hot summer this year, the hottest for over 40 years, has caused the grass to be not so green. With regards to the guests comments about the interior, furniture and bedding etc., I am unable to agree with their comments as I have had had several good comments from previous guests about how homely, comfortable, relaxing and well equipped the cottage is and the facilities supplied which they said provided them everything they needed. In particular, previous guests have commented on how comfortable the beds are and the quality of the linen provided and I have received no previous adverse comments from guests about the interior, furniture and bedding etc, only complimentary ones. Some guests have already said they would come again and other guests have highly recommended Lilac Cottage. The current guests who arrived on 13 July said how ‘’stunning’’ the Cottage is. It is a pity i was not notified about the freezer during the Guests' stay as the matter could easily have been dealt with had i known. Finally, i have to disagree with the guests' scores on comfort and equipment, location, cleanliness, local amenities, value for money and overall rating as borne out by the average scores of 8.5, 9.2, 8.5, 9.2, 8.7 and 8.5, respectively (after the guests' review).

A lovely cottage in a quiet area of Prestatyn, yet still close to all amenities. Hot Tub was a bonus and enjoyed by our 14 Year old son. Beautiful garden and ideal for our pet as very secure. Enjoyed use of garden furniture and gas bbq.

We stayed at lilac cottage in March. We arrived at 3.00pm. On going into the cottage we felt at home straight away it was just perfect. Nick the owner came to introduce himself later on and showed us how to work the appliances and hot tub. The cottage was fantastic, well equipped with everything you need couldn't fault it in anyway. The cleanliness of the cottage was spot on, everywhere was spotless, and lovely clean bedding on the bed. The hot tub we didn't use but we could see it was spot on for people whom use it. The garden is lovely full of plants. There is a few steps in the garden and I'm disabled which I managed them OK. We brought our jack Russell Alfie and even Alfie felt at home he loved it very much. The garden is ideal for Alfie which had gates on the garden to keep Alfie safe. Our stay at the cottage was fantastic we felt really relaxed. Plenty of dvds to watch which helped us to relax in the evening. The bathroom has a shower and a bath and we must say such a lovely deep bath. Prestatyn is a lovely clean place and has a fantastic chippy in the town not far from the cottage the chips were delicious. There is a tesco not far away from the cottage to buy in things we needed. Overall such a lovely relaxing holiday in a fabulous 200 year old cottage lovely host Nick whom was very helpful. You will not regret staying in this cottage definitely 10/10 on everything, our dog Alfie enjoyed it 10/10 for dog friendly.
