Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short ,so we didn't see enough of the area or sample the local pubs and restaurants but the cottage was well equipped, clean and had lovely views and the owner was very friendly and informative. We will certainly return soon!

Having stayed here for the period of 11/10/19 for one week , found the overall condition of the cottage clean and tidy everything provided. However the external condition of the cottage is very tired looking and is not the same as on the picture no gravel outside door no lawn as shown in picture. no security adjacent to door , hence allowing any dog to get out the door and run off Needs fencing off, and no mention off the garden in the information pack. The drive down to the cottage is very uneven and untidy

Had a super time in this well equipped, clean cottage. Dogs settled very quickly as in a quiet situation, however nearest pub only 20 minutes walk down canal Bank. Fascinating area with loads to see and do.

Good location, 30 seconds from the canal towpath. Pub within a 20 minutes walk, the Aquaduct Inn. Area is beautiful, Chirk is within a mile and a half, it has all the amenities you will need. Llangollen is a 10 minute drive and is very pleasant, go early to ensure a parking space. Re: the Aquaduct Inn; bar staff very friendly, food is fantastic, no frozen ingredients. Personally, it's some of the best pub food I've ever had. Cottage is small, but is excellent, it wants for nothing. Only problem is that the garden is adjacent to the next cottage and not attached to Libbys Lodge.

Retired couple wanting proximity to daughter in Acrefair and access to lovely North Wales scenery, for us it was brilliant. Furnishing perhaps a little tired, but perfectlly acceptable, and the TV was top notch. Car parking relied on co-operation of neighbouring letting and was problematical. Apart from car journies, which were fine (Chirk, Powess etc), a walk along the canal, the adjacent wild life and the view of the Viaduct were (almost) worth the money on their own. All in all an enjoyable and peaceful 4-day break. So, yes, we would consider returning.
